Guest guest
I just received my son's IgG results. We ordered the test from Great Plains Labs. The only thing that came back high were fish, especially Cod Fish! Low was wheat glutten, pineapple and cranberry. The dairy was non-significant. I don't know what to do. He is 13 and has been off dairy since he was 2.5 years old. When we took him off dairy he started to talk within 2 days. I'm terrified to let dairy back into his life, but it would be wonderful if I could. My question is how accurate are these tests, and if dairy wasn't the culprit could it have been the sugar in the dairy? Also, the sad thing is, is that I have been giving him Cod Liver Oil for years and years Any input would be greatly welcomed!!!!
Guest guest
Do what u think is best for ur kiddo. If no dairy has helped then he is a no dairy kid....my experiance with the tests we do on our child is that they are a guide for treatments with our very fragle children. We use the gr8 t plains test to help improve our children to what we have already done...so if it was my child...I would not give him milk or any other food that u have taken him offf of. I would take him off of everything that is on the list from great plains...even if it is small...especially glutin ....I would also watch what u feed him and only feed him unprocessed foods. Cook everything from scratch ......look for any redness in the ears face..or other parts of the body....red=food reaction...keep a food diary...this will also. Be a great aid to helping him... Hope this helps.. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry [ ] IgG food allergy results question I just received my son's IgG results. We ordered the test from Great Plains Labs. Guest guest
IgGs can decrease without exposure.. the real test will be if they increase again after you introduce it.. or if you see any reactions. When my son was drinking milk his IgG's were through the roof, a year later after going dairy free, his IgG's are low, but he still reacts behaviourally to dairy. Also, a previous negative IgE for dairy has now become positive.. If you are up to a trial you could do it.. Gluten is usually low on IgG's (although not in mine! Lol) and you usually find trouble if you start looking at anti-gliadin IgA's or transglutaminase IgA's. Hope that helps.
