Guest guest
We tried it with our four year old. I feel we got some good results, but there were a couple of issues. - The main problem is you have to take 2000mg of calcium all in the morning with breakfast. We tried many ways of doing this and weren't usually successful. The Respen-A will lower blood calcium and needs to be offset by supplementation. The side effect of low blood calcium is irritibility, which sort of masks any progress you are making. - The patch itself would be pulled off by my boy. The sent some super sticky band-aid like things and that pretty much took care of it. We'd still be on it if we could figure out the calcium. Guest guest
Our 8 y/o son did not tolerate it. He was hyper, crying, whiny, etc. It was very strange. We even started with half a patch and gave the correct dose of calcium. I still have the entire rx in the frige if anyone's interested... Hope you have better results!! Guest guest
What is the current thinking on Respen-A rearding sustainability of results? ie. Is it thouight that Respen-A actually helps repair the systems it impacts or will you have to be on it forever? > > , > > Respen-A has been an excellent medicine for my youngest daughter. Guest guest
If the problem is heavy metal toxicity, respen-A isn't going to repair it. All Respen-A is suppose to do is to get the brain to function better. We looked at it like taking aspirin for a headache. It treats the symptom, not the cause. If your child has heavy metals in their system, you will still need to chelate properly.
