Your income determines whether or not he will receive SSI.  If your income

shows the he will receive it, then you should apply.  I think all states have

waiver programs that allow a person to get state Medicaid even if they are over

income, if the person qualifies (based on disability).  Again, this is a

program you'd have to apply for.  In either case, it might take up to 2 years

to get approved.  I have 2 sons with HFA.  It took my adult son about 2 years

to get benefits, although my other son (aged 3 at the time) was approved in 10

days!

Good luck.

Hi my name is Crystal

I have a 5 yo son dx w/ PDD. Can he recieve SS disability? We do biomedical

treatments and he is progressing very well, very well. sorry it was worth

repeating. OK ... so much is not covered by insurance and some extra help would

really make a difference

Thanks

In mass you can only have 2000 in assets not including your house or car. The

majority of kids living at home will not qualify and 70% of applications are

denied on the first time but you can appeal. The doctors letters must contain

very specific information as well.
