Guest guest
Your income determines whether or not he will receive SSI. If your income shows the he will receive it, then you should apply. I think all states have waiver programs that allow a person to get state Medicaid even if they are over income, if the person qualifies (based on disability). Again, this is a program you'd have to apply for. In either case, it might take up to 2 years to get approved. I have 2 sons with HFA. It took my adult son about 2 years to get benefits, although my other son (aged 3 at the time) was approved in 10 days! Good luck. ________________________________ From: silkiechicken888 <cpalmerbull@...> Sent: Tue, March 2, 2010 2:48:32 PM Subject: [ ] Has anyone recieved SS disability benefits for their autistic child.. if so how,  Hi my name is Crystal I have a 5 yo son dx w/ PDD. Guest guest
In mass you can only have 2000 in assets not including your house or car. The majority of kids living at home will not qualify and 70% of applications are denied on the first time but you can appeal. The doctors letters must contain very specific information as well.
