Guest guest
Mine are nonvaccinated (24-public-schooled, 13, 11, 6, and 3) and the latter 4 never had chicken pox and none ever had measles. The first one had chicken pox, and I attribute that to early vaccines she had before we stopped vaccinating. Why are you so worried your child is going to get the measles? (I really think you are working yourself up over nothing.) Most of the herd at public schools are vaccinated; I have not heard of anyone having measles in decades. Is there an outbreak somewhere? Don't worry yourself to death. > > > Hi all, > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD. My daughter is 20 mths and not vaccinated. Guest guest
my 5 yr old had the MMR vaccine and had a bad reaction to it. I feel I need to use the high dose vit A protocol to rid his body of it. I'm worried that my younger child that isn't vax'ed may catch the measles from him when I do this protocol. I'm not sure if this is so or not, that's why I am asking here. I'm sure there have been other parents here in the same predicament. Guest guest
Probably will not get measles, but if he does, give CLO as they do in many foreign countries. It's more of an inconvenience than health threat. Avoid Tylenol. High Vit A worked well for us. Very safe done properly. > > > > > > Hi all, > > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD. My daughter is 20 mths and not vaccinated. Guest guest
No, he won't. The vaccines they give are modified live with weakened viruses combined with dead viruses, indeed. But if he did not get measles when he received the shot, then he won't get it now. Don't worry. > > > > > > Hi all, > > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD. My daughter is 20 mths and not vaccinated. Guest guest
We did the high dose vitamin A protocol and it did produce a slight rash that looked like measles when I checked google images. The thing is, it cold have been a toxicity rash from having too much vitamin A, and I really don't know how you can tell the difference. Can you wait until your daughter is older to try this with your son? Although my son did seem clearer and less autistic during the protocol, he is pretty much the way he usually is again now, so I don't know if there was really any benefit. > > > > > > Hi all, > > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD. Guest guest
Hi , I guess I could wait until she is older, but I'm really concerned about him, his behaviors, OCD, visual stims, twitching, crossing his eyes and grinding his teeth, poor guy has grinded them down so much that they are really small. We have a Dan appointment on Thursday and I'm going to ask her to check his antibodies for measles and if it's high then I guess I'd better do it. I've thought of sending my daughter to stay with a family member for a little while but the thing about that is my family lives 150 miles away from me. We are very secluded where we live and not many friends around either. As far as your son not keeping the gains from the protocol, you might want to try it a second time. I've read that some parents have had to do it twice. Guest guest
The symptoms you describe here were parasites and PANDAS for my son. We treated with herbal parasite treatment and OLE for PANDAS, and no longer have those symptoms. I never did the vit A protocol. My son received 2 MMR's back to back - by accident. He did react, but that is not what caused his regression. > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD. Guest guest
Hi , My son has been tested for parasites and none was found. We are doing another stools test now. I have been suspecting PANDAS for sometime now. I've been to my son's ped and Dan doc about it but neither thinks he has it. I strongly believe he does but how do I convince the doctors? He was sick for a week with an unknown illness, (coughing, running nose, fever, diarrhea) and after that the behaviors began. The behaviors improve slightly from day to day but never go away. I've treated for yeast and seen slight improves but most of the behaviors stay the same. The OCD is the worst of all. Guest guest
I just treated for parasites and PANDAS. I figured you can only rule out the parasites you test for - they don't test for every single possible parasite. I watched to see if behaviors got worse around the full moon, and sure enough the digging/itching (nose and bottom) got bad around full moon, so parasite treatment it was. My kid actually had an OCD dx. That was enough for me. I used high dose OLE. It resolved. We've had one flare, which we brought under control with a few months of OLE. The DAN doc doesn't have to THINK it, tell him to run the tests for strep/PANDAS. If he won't, than get a new doctor. Why any doctor wouldn't test for PANDAS in an OCD kid is beyond me. Why not rule it out? If it were me, and my child had no reason to avoid OLE, then I would try it for a few months and see what happens. I think anti-virals were also helpful with OCD. > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > I'm considering doing the high dose vit A protocol for my 5 yr old son with PDD.
