Guest guest
Hi Dana, Thank you for the advice on adding Taurine--you mentioned that to me on this loop and the GFCFKids loop today (regarding my sensitivity issues). Guess I need some taurine on-board for myself and my dd. Great suggestion, thank you!!! What dosage is good for a 10 y.o. child (69 lbs.)? Is 250 mg too much? The tabs I have here are 500 mg. Have you heard of using glycine to help w/chemical sensitivities, too? On my daughter's urine test results through Metametrix (or Neuroscience, I can't remember now), her environmental chemical levels were reallllly high, and it was recommended that we add glycine to our regimen. We had her on silymarin (milk thistle), as well but it was a gelatin cap. She tested moderately intolerant to beef so I pulled that supp. I finally found a vegetarian, GFCFSF brand of silymarin the other night so as soon as that arrives, I will add silymarin back into our regiment, as well. Thanks! ~Robin " danasview " <danasview@...> wrote: >>She is highly affected by chemicals (gets a headache immediately when we walk into a store w/a lot of chemical smells like Wal*Mart). > Taurine helped with chemical sensitivity here. I started with 250mg and worked up. The most I remember giving was 1000mg per day. > Have you heard of using glycine to help w/chemical sensitivities, too? I tried glycine, it didn't do much here.
