Guest guest
Hi Irene, I sympathize with your fury. I would tell him " I researched these shots and I don't think they are good for us. Everyone has to make their own decisions about these things. This song was just like an advertisement " . He'll need to get the idea that we don't have to believe everything we hear. Good luck! Guest guest
Just remember that the media is controlled by Big Pharma. No surprise, but apalling! Guest guest
Tell your son the truth. Tell him unfortunately adults don't always tell the truth, but they should. Unfortunately we have to teach our kids that not all grown ups are good people in order to rpepare them for the outside workd in the hopes that they will not be victimized by these bad people. Sometimes, the bad people get to make skits aimed shamelessly at the wrong people (children). Then write a letter to PBS telling them you will not support them until they stop spewing propaganda aimed at children. I'll write one to them too. Hey, we ALL should send them letters about this. Let's all tell them what we've been through thanks to the shots and see what they do when they get thousands of these letters. When he gets older, you can explain to him how MOST people in the world are FOLLOWERS who just believe and do as they're told. You will tell him that you have taught him to QUESTION EVERYTHING, and to think for himself. I think if PBS gave a damn about children's true health, they would do skits regarding the cleanup of the air, water, and food supplies and sanitation practices. these would be TRUE steps toward promoting children's health issues. If the shots are so great, why are so many children sick with asthma, diabetes, auto-immune disease, autism, ADD, ADHD ---vaccines have played a monumental role in the proliferation of these diseases. The flu shot nearly killed me in 1987. Literally, I became gravely ill within hours of the shot --yet they duped me into beleiving it was a fluke. There are MANY deaths after flu vaccine (as well as all the others). The NVIP has paid out 2 billion dollars for vaccine damage in recent years in awards and legal expenses. They like playing Russian Roulette with children's brains and bodies. It is the perfect scam --the tax payers foot the bill for the damages via the tax paid on the vaccines. It is a perfect economic boon for them. They may say, " the death numbers are low, " or " that's not so bad, " but these injuries and deaths represent someone's loved one --someone's child. Are we a nation that casually and callously blows this off because it didn't happen to ours??? Send this to PBS: http://www.hrsa.gov/vaccinecompensation/statistics_report.htm Remember these only reflect the damages that were filed. It is well-known that most injuries and deaths don't even file, so the true statistics are far more staggering. Your son is very young, but we all shall have to explain the truth of what happened to them some day.
Guest guest
I will definitely complain about it to PBS-and will not make any more credit card donations to these A-holes! > > > > Ok - so my five year old son was watching his favorite PBS show this morning, " Sid, the Science Kid " . Guest guest
Irene, I don't think that five is too young to say something to him about advertising. How about telling him that what he saw was not a lesson but an advertisement, just like ads that he's seen about Mcs, Coke or toys or whatever he can relate to at his age and that you that you don't agree with the message in that ad. We've told my kids that ads are made to make people spend their money on things that they don't really need and that ads mostly say things that aren't true. Mine are older than yours (7 & 9) but we've had chats about how adverts are made to make people feel like they should have or do what is shown to be happy/healthy/popular. My kids have started thinking about the ads that they see and I hope that means that later on they won't take them at face value. I totally relate to your disgust on this one, especially since it's PBS, but this is the sad reflection of the world we live in. Our kids are going to be hammered for life with marketing messages and misguided opinions or teaching from " trusted " people like teachers, doctors etc their whole lives. Better that they learn early that they should not swallow everything they are told and they should question it and think critically about what they are taught. I would also write to PBS and complain about this. This is an infomercial disguised as a health lesson for kids and it's disgusting. Does Big Pharma give money to PBS? I thought they got their funding from viewers only? > > Ok - so my five year old son was watching his favorite PBS show this morning, " Sid, the Science Kid " . Guest guest
This barely scratches the surface of how bad it truly is, barely. What do we tell the young children? That there are liars, powerful manipulators who deceive most? Start with the stories direct from the sacred books, explaining the inner meanings and the reality of people. The condition of society is nothing new. It's been like this throughout human history. The stories of the past, along with the proper explainations and understandings of what's going on around us and around people back then, are displayed in the holy books. Cannot go wrong with that. For example, compare the Jewish leaders who sought to do away with Christ's influence over the masses, with the white-robed priests who hand out magical hocus-pocus in our times. Same story, same motivations, same sick people, seeking the same domination, & control over everything. Same false pretenses. Same lies and twisting of words. Same use of latin-sounding language far beyond the average man's intelligence to sound mysterious and magical. Same funny clothes. Same heiachy. To know what's happening today, study the sacred texts, and in their stories of the past, the truth will come to light. Kill the TV & hand that kid a Koran. > > > > Ok - so my five year old son was watching his favorite PBS show this morning, " Sid, the Science Kid " .
