Hey all... i am home! Doc is very concerned as i am wheezing worse yet the x-ray looks better. Just started downhill yesterday or so, though. He debated putting me back in, knows how i would react. I am home with the promise to call in asap if i get worse, especially that side pain. I am still on the anti-biotics for another week. Sounds fair, i like that he is treating me like a grown up.

I am exhausted and happy.

Have fun, and thanks for all the luck. I have a feeling that helped more than we could know.

Hey !

Do you think that your mind could be playing tricks on you? Just

looking for something? What does your husband notice? Are you

going to post some photos? I would love to see Cece anyway. If

there is anything I can do, please ask, I've missed you!

Natasha

> Hello. I posted a couple months ago that my daughter Cece was

diagnosed with tort. I even bragged about how great her head

looked. Our son Dane was banded as an infant so this is a road

we've traveled before. Well despite my best intentions she is

getting some flatness. I didn't notice any asymmetries until

yesterday. It looks as though her ears are uneven. I'll have to

get her measured Friday while she's at PT. She seemed to look

better last week but worse again this week. I am probably just

focusing too much on it!

> I have been so dutiful about keeping her off her head. We took

our older kids out of preschool in April. Since then I've had to

lean on the bouncy chair a little (not much at all). That seems to

have started the problem. I'm trying not to go anywhere as I don't

want her getting any damage in the car seat. This morning I had to

take her to the hospital for tests for her vesicoureteral reflux.

Of course I got lost and all I kept thinking was that I needed to

get her out of the car seat so her head didn't get any flatter.

bad as Dane's so it will be a harder decision. He had glaring

asymmetries as well. If our insurance would pay for it she'd be

casted this weekend. Going through this before I know it's not a

painful thing and gave me incredible peace of mind. Our new ped is

very interested in the DOC Band. She asked to see Dane's and was

very impressed. She actually had a hard time believing he ever had

a problem because his head isn't flat at all anymore. I'd love her

to see how well it works firsthand just not at the expense of my

wallet! We have had a boatload of medical bills in the past year

and our policy isn't very generous! They denied Dane's band so I

expect that would happen again especially since it' not " that " bad.

>

> I'm sure she's an excellent candidate for repositioning but my

gosh I'll give myself an ulcer worrying about this for several

months! Since we have 2 older children I planned lots of summer

outings. I don't want to sit at home because I'm worried about

Cece's head getting flat in the car seat! I remember how much

better I slept when we decided to band Dane. It ended my worrying

about his head getting worse.

>

> I'm also worrying that she won't be in the band for very long. I

know that's a stupid thing to worry about but I'm thinking of

regression since she's still so tiny. She is 4 months and not even

12 pounds! I guess I could wait a month or two. If I could just

take the worrying out of the equation I'd feel so much better. If

she needs it she'll get it. I guess I'll get more concrete info

when she gets measured. My guess is that she falls into the gray

area.

really expected we'd avoid this with Cece since I had experience

with it before. She must have a very malleable skull.

Hi ,

Gosh, I'm sorry to see you posting this. Like Natasha said, I hope

your mind is playing tricks on you! Have you tried taking pictures

from above yet? Let us know what they say at her PT appt Friday.

Thats great that she is so young and it sounds like you're doing

what you can to keep her off her head. Hopefully it won't get any

worse and instead starts to look better for you! I remember what

you're saying about what a relief it was when I decided to band

Hannah and not to have to worry about it again. As far as the

regression goes, CT told me that it isn't necessarily age that makes

a baby regress. My Hannah didn't have tort and regressed after

graduating at 11 mos and we rebanded her at 15.5 mos. They said it

isn't known why some babies regress. So, maybe you can try and

worry a little less about that, lol. Please keep us posted on what

you decide to do with Cece.

Hi . Nice to meet you. I'm so sorry to hear that you are down

this road again. It sounds like you are very knowledgeable though

and with all of the great repo help in our files now, hopefully you

can avoid the helmet. But it's great that you know it is not as big

of a deal as it seems to us that had never faced it before. Best

wishes and I look forward to hearing your updates.

I am sorry to hear that you are in such turmoil, I know that feeling(

I have four). Are you sure it's not the tort causing the asymmetry?

Because I had to rely on the seat somewhat before the band, we put a

piece of memory foam(cut in an arch shape) behind Dominick's head to

try and help reduce the pressure, maybe that will help and ease your

mind. I remember worrying about every time I set him down too, but

you just can't hold them all the time. Let us know how it goes with

the measurements.
