Guest guest
Unfortunately some medical cards do not pay a doctor their usual fee and in some cases they prevent the doctor from charging more than the amount they allow. My wife and I are on Medicare and we go to some doctors who insist that we pay their normal fee instead of only the amount allowed by Medicare. The problem is with the group that issues the medical card and it will probably take legislation to get it changed. Your best bet for getting a change is to write the editors of your local papers and send copies to the local political offices of the party that is not in power at present. Politicians are keenly aware of government expenditures but even more aware of voter sentiment. I hope you can get some help with this. God bless. Just wanted to ask a question....does anyone have any information or any experience w/ having a Medical Card and finding a Rheumy who will accept it? My sister who is disabled and on a Medical Card here in WV, just got diagnosed w/ RA also, and we can not find a Rheumy who will take her because of the card. Any suggestions/information would be quite hopeful. Take care.... in WV Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Messenger with Voice.
