Hi Jelena, my name is Connie, I have about a months

supply of Ribavarin and 2 weeks supply of interferon

that I can not use at the moment because of problem

with medical insurance. I would be glad to send it to

you but I am not sure to how. They medicinces need to

be refrigerated. Also, I don't know but maybe

Commitment to Care would possibly help you. I am

looking for their address for you. Maybe someone who

sees this will know their address. Another place you

can write and they may be able to steer you in right

direction. I hope it works out for you. God Bless.

Hi April:

I have a lot of the same symtoms but my worst one was itching (constantly).

It was so bad that my skin bled. My husband also had the itching but he

always test negative for Hepatitis (what a relief). I have been on the

combo for 6 months and have had ALL the sides but I never had any from the

hepatitis, just the treatments. My doctor has me on the combo for 48 weeks

no matter how good my blood tests are. I guess the longer you are on the

medication the better chance of it not recurring you have. I've heard so

many different opinions on that. I have a 1 year old and a 15 year old

(step son). This summer I will have have 2 other step children (16 & 13).

What a challenge this will be! My 1 year old keeps me going. I really

don't know what I would have done if I didn't have her smiling face to look

forward to every day.

Things DO get better or they have for me. The shots are not what I had

planned on doing 3 times a week at 37 years old but it does get to be a

routine.

Happy Easter!

Hi April nice to meet you! My legs and feet swell when I sit at my desk too

much, but then they swell when I stand too much too. :) I try to walk a

little off and on during the day at work or at least bend my legs and I prop

them up at nite in bed.

Hmmmm...how about " I'm the PARENT that's why!!! " LOL

Seriously, there isn't anything to argue about- is there? You are your

child's parent and it is your RIGHT to raise them as you please. If your

relatives are truly set in their ways and won't even consider your POV- well,

don't feel badly because you did your best to explain your beliefs and hey,

ya can't make a convert of them all! LOL

Good Luck!

on the same token as that, i was wondering what books and sites you

recommend i send all my relatives in the medical field to? my

grandmother is a nurse an uncle who is govt. funded nutritional

researcher, who BTW had a heart attack from eating poorly, but thats

another story, and my aunt is a head nurse/physician's assistant.

they promised me a good lecture for not getting sean his shots. well

i can give it back (lecture), but what i really wanna do is shut them

up, and they generally what i have to say about medical issues

doesn't mean much to them :-)

I have to say that it is not something we really discuss with our families much. When we did not circ Raiden my mil was supportive at first then because she is a huge Dr fan and Dr was against it, she suddenly tried to "educate" me. I was SO ticked. My husband told my fil and he knew that my mil was out of place and talked to her. She apologized and said " I am sorry, I did not realize you had done the research..." UGG

So it is our business. And if they ask I will tell them, but I doubt they will. Besides, I know she (mil) thinks I am nuts for doing a homebirth...

Hmmmm...how about "I'm the PARENT that's why!!!" LOL Seriously, there isn't anything to argue about- is there? You are your child's parent and it is your RIGHT to raise them as you please. If your relatives are truly set in their ways and won't even consider your POV- well, don't feel badly because you did your best to explain your beliefs and hey, ya can't make a convert of them all! LOLGood Luck!Cheryl

Maybe someone can come up with a Dr. shot so we'll all become immune

to her. I'd take that risk!

Hi Kandice,

If it were me, I would go to a medical doctor to get diagnostic tests

done. If you don't get a diagnosis, it will chew you up inside.

This does not mean that you have to allow medical treatment, if you

don't feel it's right. It could be absolutely nothing. Wouldn't you

like to know if that's the case? :)

I was diagnosed with gallbladder disease. One doctor told me I

should have it out, I told him I'd like to try some alternatives.

That was my choice to make. A medical doctor cannot/will not do

procedures against your will.

Getting a diagnosis will make it easier for your Naturopath to come

up with a treatment.

I would suggest that you need to have the lump diagnosed, find out what

exactly it is before attempting to treat it. That probably doesn't

sound very helpful but it would be difficult for anyone to attempt to

suggest a remedy without know what needs to be treated. Why not start

at your Naturapath who, I would have thought, would be able to help in

someway even if it is only to suggest other places to get help.

Go to the medical system and see what it is. They can blood test and tell

you immediately and remember that 90% of all lumps on your body are benign.

Once you identify the problem then think about the treatment. Good luck and

don't mess around, go get it checked.

Need advice

Hi,

My 11 year old son came to me and asked me why he has a " bump "

under his nipple. I felt it and it was pea sized and hard. :(

He says it only hurts when he messes with it and this was the

first time he noticed it.

Where do I go from here? I don't want to go to a medical doctor.

I don't believe much in medical-type cancer treatment if that is

what it is. But if I don't go mainstream, will I be in trouble

for neglect?

What are my options for dealing with this " bump " naturally? I

have a Naturopath who has dealt with a couple of my other kids for

allergies and eczema and such. Is this a good place to start?

What should I be doing as far as cleansing and diet for him? I

just really don't know where to begin...

Thanks for anything you can offer.

Blessings,

Kandice

It could be his hormones also, check with the Nat. Dr. first & see what he

says he's at that stage where his hormones are changing, is there a discharge

from the nipple? i babysit a little girl who had hard lumps on both sides of

her breasts and her Dr. said they were her hormones & was not uncommon. good

luck! let us know.

Oh, for pity's sake! I'm a man and for once this is something I already know

about. Listen, this is not abnormal. This happened to me as I started

puberty. It is in fact a hormonal thing but it's natural and will go away in

a time period from a few weeks to a few months. When I was younger my

parents bought me a book entitled something like, um, " What's Happening To

My Body: Changes of Puberty " ... that's not the right title, this was 15

years ago at least (1984ish?) but you get the idea. The book warned me that

this might happen, and when it did happen several months later I was

completely calm, having been forwarned. It doesn't mean that the boy in

question has cancer nor is he getting breasts or such (as the book warned

such boys might fear), it's just a natural thing. You don't start growing

hair on your chest etc without some chemical rearranging. So you may tell

him an older guy (27, 28 this month) said it's a safe and good thing, and

you might shop around or go to the library to give him a book like I got,

that was one of the most useful things it told me.

My wife says: " Of course, any bodily change is worth watching, and it's

hardly a bad idea to take your kid to a naturopath no matter what the

initial reason, just for peace of mind " --how can I argue with such wisdom?

But I really do know about this and can only assure you from first-hand

experience that this isn't something to worry about.
