Guest guest
My guess it is the vitamin D and you have some viral things going on there.. take out the D for a couple of days.. whats in the probiotic? From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of thejanathomas Sent: Saturday, March 06, 2010 1:44 PM Subject: [ ] New to bio treatment- Probiotic Reaction? Hi, I had an initial consultation with a DAN doc for my 56# 5 yr old son. The doc immediately put him on a once in the am, 25+billion CFU, Multi-Species, Probiotic. (wasn't sure if I could give the name here, so didn't). He also started 2,000IU Vit D in am. He's very high functioning PDD-NOS. Ten days in, he has been worse in some ways-- very LOUD, doing his verbal stimming/screaming 'whooooop' at 100 decibles!, refusing to get dressed and mind, and new to us, lots of crying tantrums over seemingly minor stuff. Teacher at school said he was very loud and had trouble getting it together on day 10. Funny, this was the one day I forgot to give dose in am. In some ways, he's better. On the same day with school problems, he set the table on his own (for a fancy dinner), helped with cooking, and the icing on the cake, for the first time ever, told us a story (he made up, not repeated). What could account for the worsening behavior, but at the same time, the ability to imagine? We are new to this group, the diagnosis, and treating bio-medically and I couldn't find an answer via search. Thanks so much for any insight you can provide. Guest guest
Could be yeast as well. Maybe try some GSE and/or Biotin and see if that helps. Id also try backing off the ViT D and getting him up to 2000 IU slowly. It took my son about a month to get that high. Vitamin D caused a ton of yeast overgrowth here, so you might need to increase the yeast protocol. > Ten days in, he has been worse in some ways-- very LOUD, doing his verbal stimming/screaming 'whooooop' at 100 decibles!, refusing to get dressed and mind, and new to us, lots of crying tantrums over seemingly minor stuff. These meant yeast at my house. Dana
Guest guest
There are 12 different probiotics in a blend- It's Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic Complete. I will cut back on the Vit D. We live in Ohio, where the sun hasn't shown since August. OK, I'm exaggerating, a bit, but I figured we needed all the Vit D we could get. I got the 2,000 IU's for me, and realized the dr gave him 1,000! But since it was in cod liver oil, he wouldn't take it and so I gave him the pill. Didn't realize this could cause I yeast issue. Thanks for letting me know. > > My guess it is the vitamin D and you have some viral things going on there.. > take out the D for a couple of days.. whats in the probiotic? > > > > > > From: [mailto: ] > On Behalf Of thejanathomas > Sent: Saturday, March 06, 2010 1:44 PM > > Subject: [ ] New to bio treatment- Probiotic Reaction? > > > > > > Hi, > I had an initial consultation with a DAN doc for my 56# 5 yr old son.
