Hi,

I've done over 90 rounds. I used to wonder about things like this when I first

started out. Then, I kept reminding myself that most of the meltdowns I had

seen before chelation were usually unprovoked. All of the bizarre behavior was

just a part of the autism and none of it could be predicted.

The minimum dose for AC protocol calls for using 5mg with a 40 pound child. I

seriously doubt that 2.5mg could have had much of an effect.

very large dose that I was giving my 40 lbs son) he did ok on the round. We saw

a lot of melt downs following the round but it was explained to me (thank you,

board!) that it was a heavy redistribution because of a large dose we were

giving him.

very lethargic, laying on a sofa and only wants books read to him... stuffy

nose... no fever though...

round? He was SO happy-go-lucky on the first round on a mega dose of ALA and he

is completely in bits and pieces now on 2.5 mg of DMSA...

Good point... He's running a fever of 102.6... should I still keep going? We

were suggested to start on lower than 5 mg because we did a very high dose of

ALA (by mistake) on round 1 and needed to really step down to let his body

recover.

I know we should not " play " with doses during a round. So we'll finish this one

at 2.5 and see if we can do 5 mg next time.

So, fever or not - keep going?

Thank you

,

Save your insults, speak English. My kid getting better says I have as much

expertise as anyone else whose kid got better. Please tell me how you measure

2.5 mg accurately out of a 100mg capsule.

If you want to keep taking shots at me, take it off list and we'll have it out,

OK?

, Since Andy is the expert here, not you, let's go with what his

protocol says. It says to dose between 1/8 and 1/2 mg per pound. In other

words, the person with the 40 pound child could give anywhere between 5 mg and

20 mg and be within Andy's (not yours) safety guidelines.

I have always just guessed at what dose I was giving over 90+ rounds or about

2000 doses and tiny variations like 2.5 mg never made a bit of difference. All

of those guesses were within Andy's guidelines (not yours). I've been

successful because I followed Andy's advice (not yours).

You have a problem with me because you don't understand politics. Have you

cured your child? If not, go reread what Andy says and stop giving people your

bogus interpretation of what he says.

My daughter has had a fever beginning Friday night.  We started chelation the

weekend before.  Could the fever still be from the chelation?  I just assumed

she now has a virus.  (She is coughing as well)

We're too new (our 2nd round) to give advises but just to share - we started

this round Fri mid-day. On Sat mid-day he started running a fever. Now is

mid-Sun and the fever is coming down on its own (I did up vit C dose just in

case since yesterday).

I did not get to check messages yesterday so did not see the advise to stop the

round if there is a fever... so we actually chellated with the fever... but he

seems ok and in fact the fever is almost gone now. I will remember for the next

time that IF there is a fever, to stop the round.

But I'm kind of with you on this . I think it is more of a virus than

anything else. Just bad timing.
