Guest guest
Wow that would mean my husband would have to drink 150lbs of water a day. I think you made a boo boo here. Guest guest
Thanks to all for the input! Specially the information on the artificial sweeteners. I have been training myself to drink bottled water by alternating it with the cokes. Thanks again!
Guest guest
: Oh, I thought you meant 32 ounces a DAY. Yes, you are taking in a lot of water. I guess you would feel bloated with THAT much. How come so much? Do you have trouble swallowing? I probably can swallow ALL of my capsules with 4 or 5 ounces of my concoction of C-salts, Water, Juice, and tinctures. But I do finish the rest of it after I have taken my pills. It tastes good. I am thinking of trying Teasel for arthritic pains, though mine is not so bad at this point. I do have a slight nagging tendon/muscle pain in my left leg, but that is pretty much it. I also go to the Chiropractor. I am down to once every two weeks now though. She does a little massage now on me too. Mainly shoulders, and some on my left leg. I had Polio when I was six and that has become my " game " leg. I have broken it and sprained it and smashed the heel, etc., with that leg. Some days I feel better than others too. I have been having SOME brain fog lately, and also wake up with headaches once in awhile. I am not perfect to be sure with this Chronic Lyme, but I can function pretty good for the most part. NOTHING like when I started herbs back on November 25, 2005. I am 66 years old, and arthritis runs very heavy on my mother's side of the family too. SO I feel fortunate that I found herbs. My knees were MUCH worse even ten years ago, BEFORE I got Lyme. I could hardly walk up and down the stairs at my old house. I was just up there a couple of days ago, and it didn't bother me at all to walk the stairs. One time. I wouldn't want to do it ten times a day. I figured I would either have to use a walker or be in a wheel chair by this time in my life. I even have some canes, a pair of crutches, a wheelchair that I bought a few years ago at auctions, because I thought I would need that by now. SO far so good. And I am going to keep going as long as I can. Yes, I suffer some pain, but I have for most of my life, so I live with what I can't take care of with herbs, or an occasional ibuprofen. I meant it takes me about 32 oz. of water to get each " serving " of my pills down which is 3x a day. So I always feel bloated. Do you have any idea why some days you will feel ok and then just wake up with the most horrible inflammation in your knees? The pain is just about unbearable. Even Devil's Claw doesn't help. Any advice?
Guest guest
Hi Jim, Yes, that's part of my problem, swallowing all of the pills. It takes quite a bit of water to get them all down. Then I fell bloated. I can deal with that though. As for the knees and legs, there is always pain and aches but every couple of weeks, the pain is so bad I am wheelchair bound. I just can't move. I do use teasel and ibuprofen. My Dr. had given me Tramadol but that really doesn't mix well with the herbs plus it causes seizures and I already have those. I thought you might have the same thing once in a while. It is nothing like I ever felt before. Could it be a herx reaction? It seems to have gotten this bad when I started Cat's Claw but that could just be a coincidence. I don't know but I can't ell you the last time I've had pain like this. If I had any confidence in doctors any more, I go the ER but I think it would just be more of the same waste of time and money. I'm on my 6th week of the herbs so maybe I just need to give it some more time. Thanks for all your help. " R. Bayliss " <jbbigrod@...> wrote: : Oh, I thought you meant 32 ounces a DAY. Guest guest
IF you are not already taking it, I would try Devil's Claw. THat has helped me with lots of symptoms. I try to stay away from the man made drugs as much as possible these days. They are for one thing and cause a whole bunch of other problems. Not for me. Hope you can get better. I have stopped Cat's Claw temporarily and see what happens. You might try that too, and add in Devils Claw.
