I had (all in one day, knocked out for it), just 10 days ago, 2 crowns

replaced, one new crown made, 6 fillings replaced, and 2 or 3 more fillings

made. This was by a biological dentist who followed the protocol of using a

special room, oxygen, taking them out in a specific order, but told me it was

not necessary to take out only a quadrant or one side of the mouth at a time. I

went with that because we had to stay in a hotel due to the distance and I

wanted it all over at once while I was out as I just can't stand dental work.

He was supposed to check a cavitation (possible spot under my last extraction)

but ran out of time, as it was 5pm when he had all the rest of it done.

That evening I felt like I was going to die, including like my head was going to

explode. The next day, the anesthesiologist (by phone), told me to drink

caffeine (I'd given it up months before), and it did help quite a bit with the

headache. I felt utterly flu-like for about 3 - 4 days, with headache back and

forth. I did my first round of only 12.5 mg of dmsa starting 4 days post

removal, and noticed no difference - same low mood for the most part. Ready to

start round 2 today.

I had felt that the splitting headache was possibly from the anesthesia wearing

off, but after hearing your story, maybe it was simply the mercury.

The only improvement I see at this early date is that pre-removal, I could never

get my morning pH saliva reading to be above 6.0 (on a trying to eat well, but

not perfect diet, along with supplements to alkalize). The last few days, I've

been getting a 6.25 each morning despite dietary slips due to eating the stuff I

shouldn't in the house from my dds birthday sleepover.

Hoping time and dietary improvement can move this where it needs to be, as I had

cancer this year and this is a factor in preventing a recurrence.

Just wanted to chime in that I had the splitting headache, too, despite the

further precautions my biological dentist took, and that it did pass in a few

days.

Blessings,

,

a dentist that only used high pressure suction and lots of water. There was a

period of like 10 minutes when he had drilled in to the 3rd tooth already and I

felt pain, so he paused and left that tooth " open " while he waited for more

lidocaine to soak in. An hour after getting home I started to feel horrible.

Sore throat, chest tightness, insane head pain, lightheaded. I started to read

online about supplements I could take after all of this dental work and realized

what a horrible mistake I had made. I have been reading ever since and trying

to figure out the best way to try to address the damage I have done.

after doing a challenge/urine test on monday. I now see from reading the

archives that a challenge of any sort is not a good idea. I have started with

supplementation recommended here... C, E, fish oil, zinc, magnesium (but am

wondering what kind of dosages are recommended?) and plan to call a biological

dentist tomorrow to see about removing my root canaled tooth. I see that

starting ALA is not an option until after 3 months post removal but I am

wondering if it is safe to start dmsa with all of the acute symptoms I am

having. I am not sure if there is any remaining mercury in my root canaled

tooth? All other amalgams are out. My head is in so much pain I just don't

want to risk making things worse so I thought I would ask for advice? If I have

to wait to get the root canaled tooth out to start the small doses of dmsa is

there anything gentle I can do in the meantime? I have already removed all

grains, sugar, caffeine, dairy from my diet.

Lots and lots of Vitamin C, up to 5 grams a day. For a couple of days after the

removal.

Make sure you have all you amalgams out of you mouth, and any other mercury.

Then, start chelation with DMSA. You can get it here: www.vrp.com

Take the supporting supplements listed in the files section here on the group.

Start at ~ 1/8mg per pound of body weight and work your way up to ~1/2mg per

pound of body weight.

Take it every 4 hours day and night.

Do this 3 days on and 4 days off. This is called a round.

Do this for at least 8 rounds.

Then add ALA at the same dose as the DMSA and switch to every 3 hours day and

night.

Do this until you are recovered from you symptoms.

Thank you TJ for the suggestion. Right now I am taking a buffered C powder and

I am feeling a bit better I think. The source of the C is ascerola... do you

know if there is a better form... and how much E I should be taking? I think I

will get this tooth removed and then proceed with the dmsa protocol.

Thank you so much for responding,

Kerri,

I'm sorry you are going through this. I would suggest joining the adult

chelation groups to get more information from adults who have been through

amalgam removal and starting chelation:

frequent-dose-chelation/

adult-metal-chelation/

If you need any advice related to dental work there is a dental group here:

dental-chelation/

The supplements should be protective and can help you feel better. 4 grams per

day of C, 400-1000 IU vit E, 50-100 mg zinc, 750 mg magnesium. These are the

doses that Cutler suggests. The water soluble stuff should be taken in divided

doses 3-4x per day. The mag and C can cause diarrhea for some people so you may

want to start low and work up to your tolerance. Lots of other supplements can

be helpful too, such as milk thistle extract, B vitamins, coQ10, etc. Cutler's

book is very informative about which supplements help with the specific problems

you are having: http://www.noamalgam.com

Have you heard of the low sulfur diet? This often calms down symptoms,

especially when you have a lot of mercury floating around after a bad removal. I

don't have a link handy, but you can get this information in the adult groups,

or check the files and links here. Basically it is no dairy, eggs, beans,

garlic, broccoli, onions, coffee...and others. Sounds like you are part way

there.

Don't take any cilantro, nac, cysteine, chlorella, msm, glutathione. These can

be very harmful for toxic people.

And no chelators (dmsa, dmps, ala) until 4 days after all amalgam is removed. Do

you have any crowns? It is important to verify that no amalgam remains under

crowns. The dentist must lift them to visually inspect for amalgam.

Thank you so much . I will head over to those groups and check them

out.

I really want to order Cutler's book so I may start to search around and see if

I can find a used copy anywhere... I have spent a small fortune on my mouth and

then trying to minimize the damage. ;) Although it sounds like the book may

have all of the answers I need and will be a small price to pay.

I have not read about the sulfur diet... I almost cried when you said no

broccoli, eggs, garlic or onions as I live off of these with cutting everything

else out. ;) It is an easy alternative, however, to declining health.

I do have one crown on my root canaled tooth and I am going to see a biological

dentist and see how expensive it will be to just have it removed. I am praying

that the teeth that were filled make it... he had to drill close to the nerve

and my whole mouth (these teeth especially) are so achy. I just hope I can do

this soon so that I can begin the process of chelation.

Many thanks for taking the time to help me,

Kerri
