Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad to hear of your successful treatment. I don't know of a place which would help out financially. BUT- Do you have medical insurance? If you do it is possible to force the insurance company or HMO to come to a pay for or at least come to a settlement of your case. Mr.oh L.Romano, attorney has written a book " Legal Rights of the Catastrophically Ill and Injured: A Family Guide " which I received at a Cancer Conference a couple of years ago. He had a pamphlet Cancer Your Right to Treatment. His website is: www.josephromanolaw.com His office is in Pennsylvania email: info@... The principle is that If you can prove that you had cancer. Medical verification will be needed and can now prove that you are cancer free. The principal of the avoided costs to the company may force a settlement. But political pressure with the help of news media and politicians may force the company to cover or at least settle. Guest guest
How exciting! I used to be a special education teacher, and the speech pathologist and I wrote a grant for exactly what you are talking about! We used the money to work with and train regular ed kindergarten teachers about children with special needs and inclusion. It has always been my passion! I believe we got the grant because the school district had grant money, and we had to write a proposal, and it was accepted! I am not sure where to lead you, but PEAK parent center in Colorado Springs, Co. does a lot of advocacy for parents and childen with special needs. Maybe they could guide you in the right direction! Lots of luck! Stacey > Does anyone know how to go about finding a grant? We wish to find a grant to help us with presentations on Down Syndrome and Inclusion. Our target groups are medical, school, and early childhood professionals. > All replies appreciated!! > Sue mom to Kate 13 and Karrie 6 w/ds > > >

Guest guest
Our public library has information in its reference section that has all kinds of foundations and what types of grants they give, procedures for application and the like. Maybe the librarian can get you started. Good luck. Darcy Re: Grants In a message dated 12/20/2002 7:55:30 AM Central Standard Time, writes: << Does anyone know how to go about finding a grant?
