I'm on LDN for my hepatitis c. I am not having any flu vaccinations and have not for 20 years. And knock on wood, have not had the flu in 20 years.

I believe that the entire hini flu situation is overblown - and filled with inaccuracies about how many folks really have it or have had it.

To Go greenie,

I never take a flu shot & haven't had the flu of any kind, been on 4.5mg LDN 6

years for progressive MS, been in remission 6 years, Keeping me in remission,

well....LDN does not do this alone, I have to do my part. Healthy diet,

exercise, eliminating sugar from diet especially, keeping candida yeast

overgrowth under control, lots of Allimax or AlliUltra, Zinc, Amino Acids,

L-Lysine 500mg(take as directed), 5000mg of Ester C taken at same time my MSM is

taken for better absorption(I am up to 8,000mg of MSN-Rich Distributing, the

Torpedo tablets), B Complex vitamins, juicing organic fruits & veggies, eating

as much organic as possible. Eating bison instead of beef, bison does not have

growth hormones. Liver detoxing, Critical Liver Defense by Advanced Naturals-a

professional formula. Wash your hands, wash your hands, take hand cleaning wipes

in a ziplock bag with you in public places. Clean grocery cart grip, phones,

keyboards, doorknobs toilet handles & seats, TV remote controls, etc, etc.... I

stay out of church during cold and flu season(watch TV services or if your

church records their services have them send you a copy, why sick people cannot

stay home from church is beyond me, why infect the entire congregation??????

My daughter (13) had H1N1 this summer. She picked it up at summer camp. It was a relatively mild flu, which is how it is for most people according to our pediatrician. I realize there have been deaths in healthy children and adults, and this IS scary, but I believe every flu causes deaths and they are just not publicized to this extent.

The rest of the family was extensively exposed before we realized she had it – but we are all on LDN and no one else got sick. The only one not on LDN is the daughter who got the flu.

My experience with flu shots (as someone with RA for the last 17 years) is that the last one I had (maybe 7 years ago) left me low-grade ill for months. I have had the flu before, but the last time was about 5 years ago, and I never get the flu shot after that last bad experience. My understanding is that flu shots, aside from being full of all kinds of crap like mercury, are imperfect immunity – and once you start getting them, you have to keep doing it to maintain what it gives you. Getting the flu, on the other hand, is great immunity (assuming you survive it...) and at least we don’t have to worry now about our daughter getting it at school since she’s already had it.

Sanjay Gupta MD on CNN last night announced that H1N1 has

turned out to be no worse than the seasonal flu. He said the

fears

that cytokine storms would be responsible for a large number of

deaths in young people have not materialized and that the

deaths,

at least in children that have occurred have all been due to

secondary

bacterial infections that caused pneumonia. Again that the

incidence

was no higher than with the seasonal flu.

He sounded somewhat contrite and appeared to be an admission of

crying wolf. I am a little surprised this is coming so early

in the flu

season. Still it is nice to hear!

Just to be accurate - the secondary pneumonia is how most people with the flu die.

The H1N1 is just now peaking (in the United States) and Gupta is speaking prematurely. The seasonal flu is hardly here in the US yet, and no one knows if it will be mild or severe at this early stage.

Apparently one of my posts was deleted detailing the sick kids and pregnant women who are DYING of H1N1 here where I live and work. Do not take the swine flu so lightly.

Here is my point - wash your hands frequently, take your LDN, stay out of hospitals. This will reduce your chances of running across the virus. You do NOT want this.

Here is a quote from Gupta himself from a CNN interview, as long as we are quoting him:

"But it's a very good idea to get your flu shot, for sure. Always think about that. But in terms of protecting for swine flu, it's not going to be enough."

The swine flu is affecting young children and pregant women the worst. otherwise it is just an unpleasant variant of the seasonal flu for most of us. But make NO MISTAKE, people are dying and it is not a pleasnat thing to see.> > > My daughter (13) had H1N1 this summer. You'd have to hog tie me to put that poison into my body.

Not only is the H1N1 a live virus but it has mercury in it. I understand that

all vaccines also have aluminum which allows them to put less serum in the

vaccine.

I'm assuming that most people on this list are aware of the dangers of mercury

and aluminum.

I also began with symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome shortly after my one and

only flu shot.

Here is a newsletter that I just received from a medical doctor who specializes

in nutrition. I used to work for her and she is a very good doctor. She spent

her career trying to get the mercury out of people and is appalled that they are

putting mercury in people through vaccines.

There's also plenty more info on mercola.com

be-wise-health-wise@...

Be Wise-Health Wise

From Dr. Bessie Jo Tillman, MD

www.dr-jo-md.com

Dear Sandy,

I've been trying to be good and stay neutral about the swine flu vaccine that's

so highly touted on the news.

But I heard something on the local news a few days ago that made my blood boil.

No more neutrality here!

The news reported that the swine flu vaccine contains thimerosal as its

preservative.

Whoa! That got my attention, so I headed to the Internet to find out more. I

thought that thimerosal had been banned from vaccines, but not so.

Why am I so upset about thimerosal?

It's 49.6% mercury, the most toxic non-radioactive mineral on the planet. And

they want to inject it in my body and worse yet in the bodies of young children

and pregnant women. Yes, the health care powers that be are targeting young

children and pregnant women as the ones who " need " this swine flu vaccine the

most. States have actually waived the law banning thimerosal containing vaccines

in infants, young children and pregnant women, so they can get this swine flu

vaccine to them quickly. It sounds diabolical to me.

Mercury interferes with the normal brain development in the fetus, infant and

young child. It is very toxic to the nervous system.

Why is thimerosal in vaccines?

Thimerosal acts as a preservative in multi-dose vials of vaccine. The nasal

spray and individual dose vials of vaccine probably do not contain this toxin.

So if you decide to take the vaccine, find a mercury free source of vaccine. But

that may be very difficult to find.

Here's a quote that aptly explains how ludicrous it is to inject mercury into

our bodies:

" Poison in our bodies "

" Thimerosal, by weight, is 50 percent mercury, which has been linked very

closely to most learning disabilities, Autism included. Thimerosal serves no

purpose other than to prolong the shelf life of a vaccine. This means that if

America wasn't so hell bent on making a buck and keeping everything for as long

as possible so we can sell it, we could produce vaccines at par with what we

need with no preservatives in them at all. By the way, inject this Thimerosal

stuff directly into your body with no buffer, and your central nervous system

will shut down and you'll probably die. I find it deplorable that the FDA and

EPA will warn us not to eat fish in mass quantity because it may contain

mercury, which poses a hea lth threat, but they have no problem injecting it

directly into our bodies. It's like the government telling us not to smoke, then

turning around and asking us for a light. It makes as much sense as a bailout

plan for corrupt, fraudulent executives or bombing for peace. "

Michale Farley, The Vermont Cynic -- 2/17/2009 Quote on WAVE, World Association

for Vaccine Education

http://www.novaccine.com/vaccine-ingredients/results.asp?sc=29

And yet another great insight:

Mercury and the Flu Vaccine: Still a Major Threat

Of the vaccines today that still contain mercury, the flu vaccine is the biggest

concern, according to Dr. Ayoub. About 80 percent of flu vaccines contain as

much as 25 micrograms of mercury per dose. The EPA's safe limit for mercury is

0.1 mcg/kg, so everyone who gets the flu vaccine receives an overdose of

mercury. You would have to weigh at least 550 pounds to receive a flu shot and

be within the safe federal exposure limits for mercury.

Further, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended in

2004 that pregnant women and young infants should be among those who receive the

flu vaccine, which further exposes fetuses and young children to mercury. In the

case of pregnant women, the benefit of flu vaccination was minimal (preventing o

ne to two hospitalizations for every 1,000 pregnant women vaccinated), yet the

risks to the unborn infant could be significant. (Dr. Jo note – I could not find

any statistics about hospitalizations and death rates for the current swine flu,

probably because the data has not been collected yet.)

When a pregnant woman receives the flu vaccine, the fetus receives several

hundred times more mercury than federal agencies say is safe for adults. Even

the vaccine manufacturers admit the flu vaccine hasn't been adequately tested.

The insert on one such vaccine (Fluzone) even stated:

" Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza Virus

Vaccine. It is not known whether Influenza Virus Vaccine can cause fetal ha rm

when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. "

http://www.health-truth.com/130.php

For us older folks, the news reports that in general, we are not contracting

this swine flu. Seems like we were exposed to something similar in the 1950's

and late 1960's.

So what do you think now about the flu vaccine?

What Gupta was saying was the deaths were due to pneumonia and

not cytokine storms as had been feared. It's not based on

where we

are in the flu season but what the deaths so far have been

attributed

to.

His comments are based on cause of death reports so I do not see

how they could be premature or inaccurate.

He was not saying it is not serious, just that cytokine

storms are not

killing the young people who have died. As it turns out at

this point

the predictions of cytokine storms killing young people are not

turning out to be true. H1N1 is the same as any seasonal

flu, which

always carries a risk of pneumonia.

I have multiple auto-immune problems, have been on LDN for a month,

and I am definitely not taking the shot. I have had one regular flu

shot long ago when I was much healthier and was very sick for quite

awhile. I'd rather work on immune support. I think there is a lot of

unnecessary scare tactics going on on H1N1 but I should also admit

that I am over 60 and in the group not supposed to be as susceptible

as younger people.

Subject: Re: LDN and H1N1 Vaccine....

i think you sent it to the wrong person.

i enjoyed reding it.

Re: LDN and H1N1 Vaccine....

My 12 year old daughter just began LDN and has Crohns. After reading book: The

Vaccine Guide: Risks and Benefits for Children and Adults by Randall

Neudstadedter, OMD available from www.northatlanticbooks.com and most

bookstores, my views on vaccines changed 360 degrees. I am not vaccinated my

children with vaccine.I had been first to get all the latest vaccines thinking I

was protecting my children and myself. I am now convinced that I was partially

poisoning them...I would still have given them some vaccines, but much less than

I did and at different times in their lives...later for 18months

shots...eliminating some like chicken pox vaccine for my youngest with

Crohns...and while at first I was so excited that my children's schools,

high/middle schools were offering H1N1 vaccines, I happened to pick up and read

through this book ( accidentally came across at our holistic doctor's office)

week of sign up time and decided against it. ( Of course, some of

my closest friends think I am crazy and putting my children at risk, but I have

learned you have to be strong if you are going down this holistic med path,

because it does go against the mainstream and many people, including my closest

friends do not understand! and I have also learned who I can share this stuff

with and who not: I have many friends who are physicians/PHD's who are just not

open, other friends are....including again physicians/PhDs, dietitians..,) I am

not convinced that the vaccine offers protection against H1N1 and am convinced

that it contains many dangerous substances that have been linked with chronic

health conditions...

Hope this info. helps you and others. Highly recommend this book for all

interested in holistic medicine view. It is fairly presented re pros and cons of

several vaccines and endorsed by mainstream MD pediatricians.
