Don't get worked up about the minerals. With the low and frequent dosage, and the break, it's not an issue. The most important stuff during chelation are antioxidants like vitamin C and E. You also want to supplement zinc, 1mg per pound of body weight, + 20mg, rounding up. Guest guest
Not TJ but fwiw, you don't necessarily have to quit chelating. DMSA does lower neutrophils so if that is a concern, you can do ALA only. Even if you have lead you can do DMSA once a month or just use 5mg per round, it will come out. For bacteria give 3 caps (min) culturelle per day, it's very effective. I don't know what else you are using for yeast control but certainly you need to increase it. Yeast really needs to be managed by symptoms rather than testing the status can change so quickly you need to be able to adjust antifungal dose up or down as needed. I don't know how much your almost 4 dd weighs but 25mgs seems a very high dose. the protocol is 1/8-1/2mg per pound. If you go higher than this you don't really pull more metals but you do cause more yeast. And you run into road blocks like these were you feel you need to take a break to get everything back under control. Much better to use a lower dose and be able to consistently chelate every week without problems (or with minor problems). Guest guest
I found what you are saying about chelating with only ALA very interesting. We have been doing biomed for over eight year now. In the begi8nning, we could not do chelating because our son's neutrophil count was low. Then we tried oral, transdermal, suppository without much result. In 2006 we began doing IV, first with EDTA and then they added DMSA and then switched to DMPS. Seven months later, our son started having asthma attacks after the treatment, so we stopped. IV chelation had pulled a lot of metals out and we saw gains in our son. We started chelating again about two months ago with only EDTA IV, and then two weeks ago, after a treatment, our son had an asthma attack. It really scared the heck out of us. So now what? I tried to discuss using Andy's protocol with our osn's DAN, but he didn't act very on board, and then wanted to continue but give our son oral prednisone before a treatment. The last time our son got an oral steroid he had a psychotic episode. So then this DAN doc says let's just do nothing -- and that is not an option. So we're just supposed to let lead and mercury keep building up in our son's body? Needless to say we are losing faith in this physician. Then he gave us NCD (Natural Cellular Defense) to put him on. Do you know anything about this stuff. We are tired of fooling around and want a real protocol that will get results and also keep our son safe. Since our son had the asthma attacks after IV chelation with both DMPS and even with EDTA alone, can we safely chelate orally with these? Do we just go with ALA? We need some real advice here. My son has come a very LONG way with biomed. He has gone from moderate/severe to high functioning and moved from non-verbal to very verbal. Stimming disappeared by age four but came back with a vengeance and just seems to be getting worse. If we do the ALA protocol, is there a doctor n the Dallas area who can oversee the testing and safety things that need to be done like periodically checking neutrophils, liver and kidney function? We are anxious to keep detoxing our son. His last testing showed that he was high in lead. Arsenic has come down, but he is still moderately high for mercury and uranium. His body just doesn't detox on its own, and so he will just keep picking up more junk from the environment, I think. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Haven
