Recent Exposure to Mercury - Andy

Hi Andy,

I've posted my 3.4yo son's hair test, RBC and thyroid profile in the link below

:

/files/HairTests/Zachary%27s%\

20Hair%20Test%20%26%20RBC/

1) Hair Test - done in Nov 2009 but this is not a baseline test as in we've

started basic supplements for 4 mths prior (vit C, cal, mag, zinc, fish oil,

probiotics, MB12). If I'm reading this test correctly, my son doesn't meet the

counting rules hence the toxic elements section is accurate? His levels of

mercury has got to be one of the highest. No mystery why he has autism :(

2) RBC - done in June 2010 before chelation, there is still recent exposure to

mercury & lead

3) Thyroid profile

Prior to the hair test ds was fully vaccinated and was eating fish every day!

That probably explains the high level of mercury. Furthermore, the environment

where we stay most likely is poluted by methyl mercury from the closed landfill

close by (organic waste from household disposal). He's been poisoned in-utero

and further after birth!

After the hair test, we took off all forms of seafood. However, the RBC still

show recent exposure. Most likely coming from the environment (we're in

Malaysia).

Have thought about adding ALA after 5 rounds but will need to put that on hold

with the recent exposure. Will have another RBC done first before deciding to

add ALA.

Question : How long do you reckon we should wait before a retest of RBC? Will

the results of the RBC re-test be accurate since we've already started

chelation?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jo-Ann

I would not interpret it this way.

Since hair levels are high, blood levels may well be too.

I'd be a bit concerned about where the manganese is coming from.

Id'd say by now you can chelate him with ALA.

I'd also wonder where the arsenic is coming from.

Mn and As are not uncommon drinking water contaminants.

This suggests he is chemically sensitive (due to relative mild and non-harmful

elevation of fT3). You might do things about this like oregano oil, grapefruit

products, niacinamide and avoidance of fragrances and petroleum-like odors and

see if it helps.

I don't think retesting is necessary.

I think it would be very INTERSESTING personally, but that is nowhere near good

enough a reason to spend your money or torture your kid with a big needle.
