Guest guest
Some things that help me: Aloe vera supplements. Potato starch. I usually make homemade potato soup to get sufficient starch in me. You could also do German " potato balls " . (You can get a package/mix for these at some grocery stores.) Sea salt. Organic butter. I try to cook a high butter recipe if I feel I need it but if I am desperate, I still sometimes just eat butter. Gelatin. I usually mix a packet of plain gelatin with hot water. Stir vigorously. Add a little fruit juice. Drink quickly while still very warm so it doesn't turn to goo on the bottom of the cup. Continue stirring in between until you are done with it. I have also heard that constipation can be a sign of magnesium deficiency. (Think of the fact that " milk of magnesia " is a product intended to treat constipation.) Good luck with this. Guest guest
Sea salt in water - even a little bit helps - but 1/2 tsp to 1/2 liter. REAL prune juice or apple juice. RW Knudsen organic juices are great. Raisins. Fletchers of Castoria (senna) they have a root beer flavor. Is it constant or just for problematic times? Is he getting enough water? If chronic, whole body vibration helps. Foot baths help. Guest guest
FWIW: Magnesium glycinate is supposed to be one of the best (if not the best) forms of magnesium. Ideally, it should be taken with calcium. I think the ratio is supposed to be 2 parts calcium to one part magnesium (but I might have that backwards -- you should double check it). I never did aloe juice. I did pills. I began taking it when I could no longer afford glyconutrients. It was one of the ingredients in the glyconutrients and it did about 50% of what they had been doing for me, which kept me out of crisis. In addition to butter, another oil that helps the gut is coconut oil. It is higher in medium chain triglycerides than butter. I have to be careful how much of this I use. It also has fairly good antimicrobial properties, so promotes die-off. However, it helps with yeast. I use it a lot topically to treat yeast infections when I am suffering yeast overgrowth due to die-off. I got my best results for healing the gut by taking a combination of coconut oil, glyconutrients, and Celtic sea salt. Each of them has a good track record for helping the gut. I found if I increased only one or two of them, it did not make a dramatic difference. But if I increased all three of them, it made a huge difference. They each can cause diarrhea when taken alone. Taken together, they pretty much were guaranteed to cause diarrhea for me. So I usually took more on a Friday evening so I had all weekend to get over it. But it moved my healing process forward and my experience has been that diarrhea from supplements is usually very inconvenient but not miserable the way diarrhea from antibiotics or illness typically is. In addition to those things, I ate a lot of lettuce for a long time and worked hard on my correcting my PH balance. Getting my gut to work properly has been a major project for me. Serious gut issues are the norm for my genetic disorder. Good luck with this.
