Guest guest
Hi It sounds like yeast or maybe parasites, we use MMS(miracle mineral supplement) it is really good and cheap. This is the website you can buy it from:-http://www.mmseurop e.info/miraclemi neralsupplement. html Here is some great info on MMS http://www.mmseurop e.com/resources. html Here is how to mix it up:-http://www.youtube. com/watch? v=3uEfTeDG8X8 & feature=related Basically you can mix with pure red grape juice (not from concentrate) it masks the taste, you must not take vitamin C, ascorbic acid ort citric acid 2hours before and 2hours after as it will neutralize the effects, also take on empty stomach. x From: khieken@... Guest guest
In my experience, choline/inositol is essential to have on hand and give especially with ALA chelation. DMSA too, but we did not need it to the extent we did with ALA. So get some choline/inositol and give small doses until the symptoms resolve. Keep it on hand. Guest guest
Thanks Dana. She was previously taking biotin, but we stopped it a while ago. Will try adding it back in with increased GST and see if it helps. Maybe try an antiviral next. > > My 9yo daughter came to me in tears last night, very upset about some new behaviors she has noticed in ?last 2 months, mostly repetitive type behaviors like having to do some things perfectly, even if she doesn't really want to (she says she can't really stop herself), e.g. things like fixing one particular doll's hair, having her stuffed animals perfectly lined up, school work sometimes, counting beats to a song out on her fingers. Guest guest
Thanks Liz. She is already on a pretty good dose of choline, and is intolerant to inositol. I wish it worked for her > > > > My 9yo daughter came to me in tears last night, very upset about some new behaviors she has noticed in ?last 2 months, mostly repetitive type behaviors like having to do some things perfectly, even if she doesn't really want to (she says she can't really stop herself), e.g. things like fixing one particular doll's hair, having her stuffed animals perfectly lined up, school work sometimes, counting beats to a song out on her fingers. Guest guest
What do you see when your child is given inositol? Whenever we see a reaction (increased stimming, head jerking, postnasal drip, sometimes white bumps on skin), our ND says it's " detox " . We constantly struggle when we see these reactions whether we are doing more harm. If we go by the " detox " explanation, we're on the right track. Would appreciate if you share your thoughts. Thanks! Guest guest
Never heard of any side effects related to inositol, but I can tell you inositol is effective (in combination with B vitamins) for treating tinnitus. It also alters the gene that cause lung cancer, thereby preventing those susceptible from getting it. What are you using it for? It may be helpful to know it alters DNA, and so that may be the reason for the white bumps? (White bumps also sounds like an overproduction of keratin, aka keratosis pilaris.) > > > > > > > > My 9yo daughter came to me in tears last night, very upset about some new behaviors she has noticed in ?last 2 months, mostly repetitive type behaviors like having to do some things perfectly, even if she doesn't really want to (she says she can't really stop herself), e.g. things like fixing one particular doll's hair, having her stuffed animals perfectly lined up, school work sometimes, counting beats to a song out on her fingers. Guest guest
What brand/dose did you try? I use NOW brand choline/inositol and split the 500mg cap 3 ways, so approx 150mg per dose. I haven't heard of a reaction to inositol specifically either. Maybe you could try a different brand or smaller dose. liz > > > > > > My 9yo daughter came to me in tears last night, very upset about some new behaviors she has noticed in ?last 2 months, mostly repetitive type behaviors like having to do some things perfectly, even if she doesn't really want to (she says she can't really stop herself), e.g. things like fixing one particular doll's hair, having her stuffed animals perfectly lined up, school work sometimes, counting beats to a song out on her fingers. Guest guest
Does it also create yeast? Guest guest
Well, the first 1-2 doses are ok, then she starts to get really irritable, and then throws a tantrum or goes into a rage. I've tried inositol 3 separate times, with the same results. The same thing happens with choline bitartrate, but not with phosphatidyl choline. She has a history of being very sensitive to meds/supplements. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Hi , Interested in your post about using inositol for tinnitus. I have a mild--moderate case of it, and would love to try something natural to help. Any idea of the dose? Or how much of the B vits? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Liz, Never even considered that the dose was too high I was giving her 250mg (1/2 of a 500mg tab of GNC inositol). Might be worth trying again. How often did you give it? Thanks. Guest guest
Depending on how bad the OCD was, I gave it up to about 3 times per day. It was always resolved within a day or two.
