Guest guest
I understand Andy does not recommend b - 12 for mercury toxic people, my son couldn't tolerate it either and l didn't see any gains from it l stopped and started him on DMG which he responded better to. Isa Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de Telcel [ ] B12 discontinuation? Just wondering, Has anyone ever had to stop methyl B12 due to their child crying at times throughout the day about little things? Is this something that will go away? Is this a tolerable side effect that Dr. Neubrander talks about, or is this a sign that my 5 year old son really cannot tolerate it? He has been on transdermal methyl B12 for 3 weeks now and has had these little meltdowns at school almost every day since starting the transdermal(he goes 3 days/week). He does get the transdermal every day. His teacher says these crying episodes are not disruptive to the class or anything, but she feels bad for him and they (his teacher and classmates) do spend time trying to help him with whatever he is melting down about.... finding his lost sticker and getting the right color glue stick. These are the only 2 crying incidents inside the classroom he has had since starting the transdermal 3 weeks ago. The other crying episodes happened briefly while playing on the playground based on what he has told me. I am seeing gains like more appropriate social behavior, more affection toward me and his siblings, less impulsivity, and better understanding of cause-and-effect in his behaviors. I just can't have him crying all the time at school! Has anyone ever had to stop methyl B12 because of increased sadness? Thanks for any advice you can give! Guest guest
My son regressed on MB12, and had to be taken off of it, not do to sadness, but do to increased tantrums and self injurious behaviors. I saw a video where a little girl with impaired Methylation had tamtrums with b12 and it was do to speeding up the methylation process to much, and she was never able to tolerated again even in small doses. Andy had mentioned that some people respond to sulfur doners (msm), etc) and others to Methyl doners (MB12) Mi son has not been on it again. Guest guest
Where did you read that? Ironically Andy's books do talk about using B12. He does not recommend B12 shots. He says to use sublingual B12 lozenges for children because the injections are unnecessary. So he is not against B12 in mercury toxicity. And not every kid needs B12. B12 is a bandaid supplement. It sometimes shows gains that usually disappear shortly after starting it anyway. The high doses of B12 help mask what mercury does to the body. I think parents need to listen to the symptoms they are seeing rather than what a doctor is saying. The doctor is not the one crying all day or having tantrums. So good for you for stopping it. > > I understand Andy does not recommend b - 12 for mercury toxic people, my son couldn't tolerate it either and l didn't see any gains from it l stopped and started him on DMG which he responded better to. > Isa > > Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de Telcel > > [ ] B12 discontinuation? > > Just wondering, Has anyone ever had to stop methyl B12 due to their child crying at times throughout the day about little things? Guest guest
> > I understand Andy does not recommend b - 12 for mercury toxic people, He actually does, but the dose that each individual can tolerate varies widely from none at all to what some consider high doses. To find the tolerable dose a person must start with low oral doses and work up gradually to something in the ranges Andy recommends. You would have to use onibasu.com to find Andy's posts on the topic. Once a kid has a reaction stopping the supplement may not stop the reaction. It will likely take some time for the reaction to settle. Transdermal or B12 shots for every kid is not a reasonable intervention. Oral or sublingual B12 as tolerated is. Guest guest
> Just wondering, Has anyone ever had to stop methyl B12 due to their child crying at times throughout the day about little things? At my house, B12 required folic acid, B2, and carnitine for proper absorption, and did tend to increase yeast. Giving B12 without those supporting supps caused serious crying here, and yeast overgrowth sometimes caused massive headache, which caused serious crying here. Try giving those supps and/or increase the yeast protocol, see if that helps. Dana
