I work for a Human Resources department of a very large entertainment

company. Sometimes, it is very difficult to sue a company. But my

recommendation to you, is get a note from your doctor documenting your

condition. This is the strongest weapon you could have. It would stand up

in court and it also would send a clear message to your employer.

If worse comes to worse, you could always persuade your doctor to take you

out on a disability. OR in a non-threatening way, maybe just gently dropping

the buzz word " sue " in front of your boss.....it would scare the bageebies

out of her. Even a famous, huge entertainment company like the one I work

for, will do ANYTHING to avoid litigation.

I am only tossing my observations out to you and by no means am urging you to

take legal action. You must weigh the pros and cons of your current

situation. Sometimes we try to convince ourselves that we need to stay in

our present jobs because of the money or stability.....but the biggest

blessing in disguise for me a year ago was when I was suddenly let go from a

job I had worked at for 13 years. It devestated me, but now in retrospect, I

am able to see it was the best thing for me.

Good luck and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

I don't know the English justice system, other than what I saw on Rumpole, but here, in the US, I believe any doctor who is aware of LDN, and doesn't at least discuss and offer it is negligent. There is just too much information out there now to be ignored any longer. I know, I know. No studies, trials, or science. My response as a lawyer is I don't give a damn. Sue anyway if the scenario warrants it, especially for those idiots who refuse to prescribe it.
