Guest guest
Hi, My DAN dr asked me to get my daughter tested for muscle inflammation through cardiac enzyme. Her LD level is out of range. That means she has muscle inflammation. Dr asked to test for body muscle and brain muscle inflamamtion. You need to get some blood draw for the test. Any GP (General practice) can do that. Regards, [ ] Brain Inflammation: What tests are used to confirm? Good morning, all, I know that my son has metal issues and viral issues. We suspect brain inflammation. Guest guest
My guess is all ASD kids have chronic inflammation, ranging from subtle to marked. I do not know what test would be worth the time/money/invasion except for using anti-inflammatory/antiviral supplements, diet and chelation and watching for improvements. Guest guest
http://tinyurl.com/preview.php?num=ycsp4fz Here's a link to a list of inflammatory markers. As you can see, the list is long! I'm just not sure there *is* a test to reliably indicate inflammation in the ASD brain, nor does it sound like you really need confirmation. What would these tests tell you? Would you not address inflammation if you found none on a SPECT, MRI, EEG, spinal tap etc? Like I said before, I'd address it by using interventions that battle inflammation and see what happens. Maybe someone else has a more direct answer; that accurate test to confirm Jerry's suspicions. Happy Easter to you, too. Guest guest
My son's physical symptoms were/are enough confirmation for me. When he is experiencing inflammation, he might bang his head, hit his face, scream impulsively because of any slight irritant. He might bounce all around get angry if he is made to remain still. The more you can figure out what causes these things (such as foods, metal poisoning) and eliminate those triggers, the better those symptoms become. I think when parents don't address and resolve these kinds of problems, the child may be at high risk of seizures as they get older (if there aren't already seizures occuring as a part of this). I heard the French lab test can sometimes be not as accurate. ________________________________ From: RowenaM <jerry_montgomery@...> Sent: Sun, April 4, 2010 2:01:07 AM Subject: [ ] Brain Inflammation: What tests are used to confirm? Guest guest
To check for brain inflamation you need to do the Anee Connoly test at washington university, it will reveal if your kid has brain autoantibodies, then you need to check how high is the inflammation and you will need to do a neopterine test at LAboratoire Philippe Auguste in france. To kill inflammation you need antinflammatory such as Spironalactone, actos, curcumin, but the only one that worked for us was Steroids!!! it brought the inflammation back to range. you need to check the DAN conference presentations from Dr Bradstreeet to get yourself informed. They have the last 3 dan conf that you can watch for free at the autism research institute (autism.com) it is a serious matter, you need to kill the inflammation if she has any! > > > > Omega 3 makes my son very irritable any of you know why? > > > > Check out Pyrrole Disorder > http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/walshMP.htm#Py > > Joe >

Guest guest
Good evening, all, Thank you for all the great suggestions. I am giving most of the supplements to my son Lance except for Enhansa (curcumin) and Spironalactone or steroids. My son had a EEG, Anne Connoly test, and a French Test for neopterine from last year. I just sent another sample for the same French Test two weeks ago to see any improvement. I need to have another visit with my DAN doctor or a new DAN doctor to get a better grasp of the level of my son's brain inflammation. I have heard that Valtrex will reduce inflammation due to viruses. Does any one have any experience to confirm if this statement is true or not? I will review the DAN conference information again. I really do appreciate all the information. I am closer to tackling this issue than I thought. Thank you, Jerry > > > > > > Omega 3 makes my son very irritable any of you know why? > > > > > > > Check out Pyrrole Disorder > > http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/walshMP.htm#Py > > > > Joe > > >
Guest guest
Good morning, Sutopi67, When you wrote " check how high is the inflammation " , which test would you be referencing? My son's Anne Connelly test showed the following: 1. No IgG immunostaining to brain endothelial cells. 2. IgM immunostaining to brain endothelial cells. Interpretation: This patter of IgM immunostaining has been described in some children with Landau Kleffner variant and Autism. I thought there would be more information. Any help would be appreciated. I will look at the DAN Conference information. If I have to, I guess we will take a summer vacation in Florida and visit Dr. Bradstreet and Dr. Rossignol... Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Steroids can cause cataracts, but it generally takes a prolonged administration (months or years) to do so. LASIK surgery is vision correction surgery on the cornea. It is unrelated to cataracts.
