Molluscum Contagiosum - how much lysine?

Ds (age 10, PDD-NOS, 130 lbs.) appears to have a case of Molluscum

Contagiosum (based on my conversation with pediatric nurse + my

reading of posts by Dana and others in November). How much lysine does

it take, over what period of time, to get rid of the bumps? He's been

on 500 mg lysine per day for 10 days now.

I am tempted to take him to my dermatologist to freeze off the two or

three that have appeared on his jawline (infection began on his

collarbone and has spread). Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?
