I'm sorry for posting it here but need advice about platinum. My mum has been

recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. She is awaiting genetic

testing results to check if she has mutated gen BRCA1. She lives in Poland and

there is medical research going on about this gene mutation and use of cisplatin

(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cisplatin) for treating breast cancer. So far the

research results are very promissing.

I wonder what you think about the drug and if is it safe to use for a person who

may be metal toxic? My mum dyes her hair so a hair test would not work, maybe

she should do a porphyrin test.

Anyway your advice would be very much appreciated.

Kasia
