And then I didn't have any appetite whatsoever for about three weeks. Lost 40 pounds =) When I wanted to eat again, I only used 1/4 capsule of the enzyme. This worked well. I was able to gradually increase to a full capsule per meal. And several of my issues disappeared. > He has neen showing a lot of > echolalia since monday, I think. Maybe the strain of yeast he has, is not susceptible to Nystatin. Try a different yeast killer. Dana
Guest guest
Thanks Dana. I wish I had given him only 1/2 that capsule. I had even thought of that when I was mixing in the enzyme. :-( On Thu, Jan 14, 2010 at 9:36 AM, danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > > > > > My son seems to have had a regression of some sorts and I am not sure > why. > > On monday night we tried the AFP Peptizide( 1 capsule) mixed into his > > regular dinner of rice, lentils and veg. Guest guest
UI was doing great with my detoixing, but after a couple of months, chelation caused me to have worsened GI pain, acute diarrhea, and total loss of appetite.I cut back by 2/3,and the symptoms got better. Regression for me is always a food reactio, dairy is one of the worst,or an immune/infection flare. > > My son seems to have had a regression of some sorts and I am not sure why. > > On monday night we tried the AFP Peptizide( 1 capsule) mixed into his > regular dinner of rice, lentils and veg. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for responding to my question. I went back to my DAN too who had not heard about such reaction to the AFP Peptizide. But she did ask me to stop until he gets better and try it one more time to see if he reacts again. We stopped and started again on it on Monday night. This time I did only a little sprinkle of the powder( thanks to all of your advice). Since then I have been sprinking a little powder from the capsule with every meal.1capsule divided over 3 days. I am still seeing him stim. He has been spinning occasionally yesterday and today. He stopped that couple of months back. I am not sure again if it is the peptizide or something else. Has anyone else had this kind of reaction before the good stuff happens? I am pretty sure its not the yeast...he has been on his nystatin regularly. From the past I have seen that even if he misses a day of nystatin he has never been spinning. Guest guest
I might suggest trying another enzyme. Might be something not agreeing with him.. Guest guest
None of the plant/fungal based enzymes worked here. The animal based ones like prescription Ultrase, which is what we use, were very helpful. Thorne's Dipan-9, animal derived, was also ok. > > > My son seems to have had a regression of some sorts and I am not sure why. > > > > On monday night we tried the AFP Peptizide( 1 capsule) mixed into his > > regular dinner of rice, lentils and veg. Guest guest
When you say it did not work does that mean you saw regression or more stimming? Guest guest
Someone in another group pointed out that epsom salt baths increased stimming for her. I never considered that could be it. I never thought of the baths. We were doing the magnesium sulphate cream before and recently switched to the baths. Do you build up from a small amt of salts to a larger dose for the baths? I never considered the baths as we never had any positive or negative behaviour from the cream and somehow that remained in my head even when I started the baths. Did anyone else have similar reactions to epsom baths?
