Guest guest
Did your child get these results? What kind of test was it, and were there a lot of high results in general or not? How high were the thallium and cadmium? It isn't likely for a kid to be exposed to either of these, let alone both at once. Sometimes mercury toxicity causes other metals to be massively concentrated in the hair, which gives a grossly abnormal looking result, even though the amount in the body is just a tiny fraction of what it appears to be on the page. Also, if there was just a speck of paint or other contaminant in the hair, it could cause some results to skyrocket. If it was a urine test, a single result isn't very reliable and I would recommend a hair test to get a better picture (I am not a doctor). Andy says in his book that DMSA & ALA can be used for thallium, along with taking potassium and also some drug called " Prussian blue " to keep the thallium from being reabsorbed in the intestines. As for cadmium, there aren't any widely available chelators that work. DMSA chelates it poorly, and I don't think ALA and EDTA do any better. Andy mostly suggests finding supplements that oppose the toxic effects. Drugs that do chelate cadmium (like Disulfiram) are either used for other purposes and not for cadmium poisoning that I know of, or are very experimental and have only been used on animals. justin > > Also high Thallium > Thanks, > nne >
Guest guest
My hair test was red-lined for cadmium and lead. I'm using dmsa/ala on AC protocol. Jan > > Also high Thallium > Thanks, > nne >
Guest guest
Cadmium is a trace mineral and it is in all sorts of things. Unfortunately, it is in the treatments used on tobacco plants, so it is really common for smokers and their children to have cadmium poisoning or high levels of it. We did PCA Rx for mercury, lead and cadmium and the cadmium was gone after a month. The mercury and lead kept dumping and dumping and dumping. I quit smoking 6+ years ago -- going the AC protocol route so that I would be able to tell others how it felt, what was involved, etc. Regards, Summer McFarland 1.22 HEAL KIDS 1.224.325.5437 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------------------------------------- Over fourteen years of organic search engine optimization, marketing and design. Guest guest
PCA-rx is an oral spray that claims to help remove heavy metals from the body. It contains alpha lipoic acid as well as chlorella, fulvic acid, etc. It also has some probiotics including strep. thermophilus, so if you have a PANDAS kid I would stay away from this product. Guest guest
Actually, that would be incorrect. The listed ingredients are actually foods used to initially feed the microbes, because the products are created through the fermentation process. The microbes and the food are then thrown away and you just have product. So... the ingredients are really not in the product you are taking, they were just a food that created it, making them safe, natural and very easy to use. There are several testimonials for PANDAS and the like.
