Guest guest
Hello I have two daughters that I have been preparing to chelate using the cutler protocol. One developed autistic tendencies after her 18 month MMR. She will now be 4 years old next month. For the past 8 months, she has been on a GF CF SF diet, digestive enzymes, probiotics, multi-vitamins on which she improved significantly i.e. her chronic diarhhea stopped. In March, I started her on Lugol's iodine with even greater success. Following this, she started playing with other kids at lunch for the first time since starting school in September. She also showed a tremendous increase in her ability to learn her letters. I am now ready to start the DMSA and ALA. She is 30 pounds and I just want to confirm dosages. I am reading conflicting things. Some say use DMSA only first, others DMSA and ALA together on the every 4 hour schedule. Exactly how much of each is appropriate for her weight? Does it make a difference whether I use sustained release ALA made by AOR or non-sustained release? I am planning to use DMSA in suppository form. My 10 year old is 80 lbs. and will be taking the oral form of DMSA. What is the appropriate dosing for her? Would you hold off on the ALA or start it together. She has thyroid and adrenal issues which are currently somewhat controlled with thyroid and adrenal medications. Thank you. Surinder
Guest guest
Please take the time to read the files section in this group. Do not use suppositories. There is no way to get an accurate dose. It also looks like you don't have the proper supplements in place. The critical 4 are Vit E, C, magnesium, and zinc. E is to be taken once a day, the others 3-4 times a day. The dosages is based on weight. You can start DMSA and ALA together or separate. Most people recommend separate just so you can tell the affect of each one. These are also dosed by weight. Guest guest
Hello. I chelated my child when he was four and I stared DMSA first at 10mg every four hour for three days on and four days off(when I saw he responded positively to the DMSA then I upped it to 25mg). I did the first five rounds with just DMSA and then I stared ALA at 10mg then ramped up to 25mg after I saw that he could tolerate it. I would start with DMSA first at 10mg and if you see there aren't any issues then you can slowly go up to 25mg. I wouldn't do more than 25mg of ALA and 25mg of DMSA. For the older child you might want to follow similar protocol except at a higher starting dose, i.e. 25mg of DMSA to start and work up to 50mg.
