- I am soooo glad that I live alone right now. Being the only one responsible for bringing food into the house is a blessing! I do NOT have the willpower to have candy around and not eat it. I would have a really hard time if someone brought candy into the house. I am just happy to be too broke to afford it right now or I'd have bought some "for the Trick or Treaters" - uh huh...right.

We had a thread going about that on one of the vegetarian lists I'm on. It's

so hard to eat veg when hubby starts whining for meatloaf or kielbasy!

> I do NOT have the willpower to have candy around and not eat it.

That's why I would always buy treats like pencils or toys for Halloween

instead of candy. When the kid was younger and went out for goodies, what he

didn't like I made sure Ed either took to work or hide it where only he knew

so I wouldn't get to the stuff.

LOL You sound like me! One of the main reasons we're sticking to a mostly

vegetarian food plan is the cost. Rice, pasta and beans and a heck of a lot

cheaper than boneless chicken breasts!

Couple of additions; I am shifting my sleep time to more normal. Tried for years

and could not before. Get moving sooner after awakening, but still kind of pokey

in the morning. Poop out fairly early in the PM- but then I AM over 65.

Secondly; of course I take a slew of other things besides the ones I focused on.

A lot to tell-99% of it positive. I have been too busy living to bear to read

the list. If you want to communicate w. me please write to my address. If it is

a question, I will answer to the individual and to the list.

What I haven't done yet; address the heart issues which I am sure I have. As

soon as I can, I will.

Several months ago I started using pituitary extract from my naturopath who

tested me for deficiencies. I have not yet plateaued from that. It keeps giving

me more energy, more clarity, improved immunity and less joint pain.

Enough so that I risked a pretty arduous journey by train, car, and returning,

by plane-all alone. I was gone almost a week, even went swimming in the motel

once. I came to no harm, (except for a $350.00 speeding ticket). I was at a much

lower altitude, felt 10 yrs younger, ate less, lost weight. Still spent my

mornings in bed.

When I got back I began on a new course of treatment resulting from another

test, a urine test-of neurotransmitters. I don't have the results handy, but Doc

said he had never seen anyone lower on norepinephrine, and way low on serotonine

too.

The new products I am using to balance these things out are from NeuroScience

Inc. Same name for the lab, I believe.

I am having problems w. the dosages. I went to high too fast, and have been

getting very angry. Unless it is the more regular usage of green tea. Caffeine

does that to me. I have to sort all that out, but I have not felt this well or

been as functional in many years. Its actually kind of scary, knowing how we

tend to crash.

Thanks,

Adrienne

Hi Adrienne,

It's encouraging to hear of your improvements. What is the name of the

pituitary

extract are you using? I wasn't in the group when you first told of it.

Thanks,

Ellen

Well, it has been a full couple weeks.

LDN has continued to amaze me.

My crohns symptons are over 50% under control.

I am so pleased, I am sleeping better then I have in years.

I also would like to comment on my "mood" About 6 months ago, with everything I had been going thrugh my Doc., thought maybe I needed a little anti- depressant...well I am pleased to say about 2 weeks into LDN I was on such a mental high, I quit the little helper pills...and I am so much more focused.

I am no longer BLAH! and as you all may know one of my very best friends have just been DX with cancer for the secon time>>>>I am not depressed, I am positive, focused and determined to help him stay positive and fight this demon.

LDN has been a God-send for me,,,,,,not only with the crohns but the mental awareness.

I am hoping also that it keeps the breast cancer away.

As far as the seizures...LDN isn't ding so much for that, I am still getting the auras, still on tegretol .....but you can't have everything!

I could not be happier with the benefits of LDN
