Guest guest
to avoid others jumping in and turning this in to a big battle... could you and take this privately? I think you will find it a more pleasant experience. I'm sure there have already been posts talking about the dangers of chlorella and mercury toxicity. You should read up on other methods of chelation other than DMSA. ALA is a good option and will help remove mercury from brain tissue. Sorry you are having trouble. First, take a look at the dose of DMSA, the timing of your doses and whether or not you are using anything to fight yeast while chelating. The dose should be 1/8-1/2 mg per lb (per dose) and given every 3-4 hours. I can imagine you are using much higher doses and giving it every 8 hours if you are working with a doctor. Try lowering the milligrams and giving it every 4 hours before you dump DMSA altogether. Pam > > > > > > First consider whether the things this DAN doc is doing are useful, > necessary, and helpful. Guest guest
Hi A Simon, I would try lowering the dose of DMSA, giving more adrenal support and perhaps a trial of lithium orotate for symptoms, high antioxidants (Vit C, E, milk thistle, zinc), lots of B vitamins (food-based if synthetic not tolerated), and epsom salt baths. If yeast is a problem, you could help with yeast by not having many sweets in the house, giving low carb diet, giving Candex/Candidaise, probiotics after meals and before bedtime, and cultured vegetables (if you are up to making them and if he will eat them). I just started making coconut kefir and it does taste pretty bad, but added to a smoothie, you can't even tell it's even there. My son was very aggressive/moody and he has completely calmed down. If you've been giving him DMSA for awhile with these symptoms, try taking a couple, 2-3 weeks break and just supplementing and treating yeast before starting at a lower dose. I would hate to see you abandon Andy Cutler's protocol because of bad symptoms, I hope I have offered you some suggestions that may be helpful and I apologize for intruding but I can totally relate to the bad reactions because we went through that for a long time. It ended and we are seeing improvements now. I wish you and your child the best no matter what you choose to do.
