Guest guest
Hello , I'm Canadian and live in Sweden, so we're sort of in the same boat. I know how difficult it is to find all the required supplements for Bee's program. Here in Sweden, all the supplements either have sugar or preservatives in them and they don't even sell cod liver oil at all. The reason they say is because they have vitamin D drops for babies [which contain alcohol]. So what? No one else needs vitamin D? Grrr! I have used Labs in The Netherlands to buy almost all of the supplements. It's a bit of a pain, though. Go here to see what they sell: http://www.douglaslabs.com/ Then go here to their international site to make the order via email: http://www.douglaslabs.com/locations.cfm To be honest, though, their prices are quite high and I have been ordering through iHerb in the States. http://www.iherb.com/ Just make many small orders instead of one large order so that you don't have to pay import duty. You'll have to find out what that amount is for Switzerland. For the coconut oil, I've bought through Tropical Traditions in the UK. The shipping is a little ridiculous, though. http://www.coconut-oils.net/products_new.php?page=1 I might try Coconoil next time: http://www.coconoil.co.uk/ If you end up trying them, let me know how it goes. I hope that helps! > > Hello Bee and others, > > My name is . I am from the US but have lived in Switzerland > for a little over a year now. <snip> > > I have some questions: > > 1. I suffered from Hashimoto's and Adrenal fatigue so your post caught my eye. I just want to say that Bee's program is the only thing that has worked for me. I, too, was doing a Nourishing Traditions/Weston Price diet prior to this group....and was a 20 year vegetarian and sometime raw fooder befoe that!!! This diet is like Weston Price for Candida sufferers. Bee practices all his principles, but removes the grain/dairy/fruit/sugar component that can't be handled by Candida folks. I just want to mention that my symptoms have receded significantly since being on this diet and I no longer take any thyroid or adrenal meds or hormones of any kind. So, true healing is possible with this program. I personally found that increasing the fats in my diet were very key to healing because hormones are made from fats, it's their food. I also found the HCl to be lifechanging. Most people with thyroid issues have digestive problems of generally low stomach acid hence all the IBS and digestive issues. All the best, Marissa

I found that the HCl increased my absorption of nutrients and medications, so once I found my HCl dose, I found I could taper off the Armour a little. I think I was around 2.5 or 3 grains at that point. Then I slowly tapered, taking a few months in my case, to taking no hormones at all. I used Herring's law of cures to give me a marker of when my Hashi symptoms first became so strong that I started looking into it. Which also coincided with the aftermath of the 911 fires here in NYC. I live downwind of all that toxic smoke which burnt for a few months. I think all that stuff just took me over the edge. This way, I felt, I could handle the die-off of Bee's program without also having too strong a Hashi's attack in the process. Hope that helps. In this dutch website you can find all the supplements you need. Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your help, advice, and words of encouragement. I was able to order some supplements from iherbs.com with Bee's number. I was very impressed with the selection, prices, and shipping costs to Switzerland. Only $11 shipping if you spend over $40. I even ordered some coconut oil. I have been checking out the other websites that were recommended as well. Thanks! I feel so supported by this group on this process to heal myself. I've been trying for so long, and have hoped that I would be able to feel better and maybe get off Thyroid medicine, but now I know I can! It's a great feeling! I'm sorry for my late response. I've been feeling rather yucky. I have a question on healing/retracing and I hope it makes sense. I haven't taken any medicine (other than Thyroid) for a number of years now, and have tried to be healthy. I rarely have gotten sick, even when my kids did, even though I've always felt fatigued and yucky. But obviously my immune system wasn't healthy because of Hashimotos, etc. Bee has mentioned that when we use medicine to make a problem go away quickly, later our body will need to work through those toxins to heal. But I'm wondering if in my case my body wasn't strong enough to handle the toxins and stored them away until I was stronger to deal with them even though I didn't try to suppress them with drugs? I hope that made sense. Thanks,

I hope that made sense. +++Yes, I believe the body becomes so overloaded by toxins that is becomes incapable of detoxifying itself like it should. That's why this program is so effective, in addition to providing " proper nutrients. " Mainly its the high " good fats that help detoxing the most, and they even get rid of heavy metals. They are also very important for a healthy liver so it can process toxins and get rid of them like it should. Other things on the program also help, i.e. Epsom salt baths, dry skin brushing, coffee enemas, etc. +++So you are right , you can do it, and your body will love you for it! The best to you, Bee
Guest guest
Wow, Bee! This makes a lot of sense to me that our bodies would store the toxins. I hadn't been sick in years, but meanwhile my muscles were getting very sore and I was always very fatigued. Yuck! I'm so glad I'm starting to get rid of it all finally. > <snip> > +++Yes, I believe the body becomes so overloaded by toxins that is > becomes incapable of detoxifying itself like it should. Guest guest
Hi everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself and ask a very important question . . . I was diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting MS in October 2007. I am a tremendously busy lady who runs a non-profit humane society in Montana – when the Dr. gave me the diagnosis, he pulled a box of Kleenex out from his desk drawer and patted my hand with a look of sympathy on his face. I just laughed and said, “I will acknowledge your diagnosis but I will NOT acknowledge this disease. It will not own me nor will there be any pity parties – I lead a busy life, tell me what I need to do and let’s get on with it.” Needless to say, he was stunned . . . stammered something like “Normally people cry at this point.” Well, Doctor . . . .. I ain’t normal. (o: I have been what I call a minimalist my whole life. Healthy and strong, I avoided putting anything in my body that I didn’t need (like smoke, liquor, medications). When I found out I was going to have to give myself a daily injection of Copaxone, that rocked my world more than the MS diagnosis. A year and a half later, I am still having injection site reactions and at these sites, all of my fatty tissue has been eaten away to leave large divets in my arms, legs, hips and stomach (plus bruising). Great for short/tank top weather. NOT! It also is causing me to have severe joint pain – when I asked my neurologist about this he said that arthritic type symptoms are a definite possibility from the Copaxone. Super . . . I watched chemo slowly take my mother and always anguished over the fact that it seems most times, the cure is worse than the disease. )o: So I have been on a mission to find an alternative and found the LDN info off Dr. Mercola’s website. I can’t tell you the thrill of excitement that ran through me as I spent hours devouring information about this medication. I approached my neurologist about going off the Copaxone and having him prescribe LDN and all he could say was that LDN is NOT FDA approved for MS and he was not going to get burned prescribing this medication for me. *sigh* So here I sit, almost out of Copaxone . . ..needing to order another 90 day supply which I don’t want to do and having no way to get my hands on the LDN. Phooey . . . So the big question here is how DO I get a Dr. to prescribe the LDN?? I am a little worried being in Montana and off the beaten path, so to speak. Any ideas would be ever so helpful! It never ceases to amaze me that with western medicine, if a large pharmaceutical drug company is not backing the project, then let’s not share it with the public. I wonder how many other cures have been swept under the carpet just for that reason . . . thanks in advance for any assistance! Guest guest
Hi Faye, In your first email you said your doctor said you are hyperthyroid. By your tests, that is obviously not true. First of all, throw out the TSH test as it is not good for finding out thyroid function. Your Free's are within range, however , they are on the low side and lean more towards HYPOthyroidism than hyper. Sadly, most mainstream doctors are not educated about the benefit of iodine. Please read the New Member doc. you were sent when you joined, you will learn much from Commonly Asked Questions. Best, Kathleen Re: Introduction and Questions Hi Kathleen,Here are the results with the added ranges:My last lab test in May came back as the following (the lab test lists free T4 as "T4 (Free)"; not sure if that's important):TSH - 0.166 uIU/mL (Normal range, 0.465 - 4.680)Free T3 - 3.75 pg/mL (Normal range, 2.77 - 5.27)T4 (Free) - .98 ng/dL (Normal range, 0.62 - 1.94)-Faye
Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, Yes, I was thinking that she was incorrect. I'm also thinking of finding a different doctor. The other stuff was for background. I've already read through the new member docs and couldn't find answers to some of my questions. Are you able to help me out with any of these: Should I be worried about a thyroid storm if I take iodine at doses of 50mg or comparable? Also, if I decide to do the loading test, is it fine to do the 50mg of iodine even though I'm nursing, since it's just once? I read elsewhere on the list that you shouldn't start that high when nursing because the detox products will be passed to your baby and that 25mg was more appropriate in that context. Thanks, Faye
Guest guest
Hi Faye, I am not an expert but I would say that you should start on iodine as soon as possible. The loading test isn't really needed as those nodules indicate you are deficient. Also, taking iodine will greatly help your infant too. Guest guest
For pregnant or nursing mothers who want to start iodine supplementation for the first time, the recommendation is to do 25mg MAX iodine (as a daily supplement) until the baby is weaned. The reason is because larger doses may produce detoxification byproducts that can affect the fetus or nursing infant. However, it is a really important nutrient and should be taken along with all the companion nutrients. The fear of thyroid storm is a medical myth, based on a scientific fraud called the Wolffe-Chaikoff Effect. It is still taught in med schools despite being thoroughly debunked. Go to the " Research " tab at www.optimox.com and look for an article near the top called " Crying Wolffe " or something like that. You don't need to iodine test in order to take iodine. If you have thyroid problems, you are iodine deficient, and so is your baby. Virtually everyone is iodine deficient because it was ignorantly removed from the food supply (see paragraph above), and we are bombarded by toxic chemicals that mimic iodine in the body and it requires larger, long-term supplementation wth iodine to undo that damage and evict the impostor chemicals (bromides, chlorine, fluoride). Start slow on the iodine and gradually work your way up. If you take Iodoral tablets, start with 1 tab for a couple of weeks, then add second. That is 25mg (if the tabs are the 12.5mg potency). If you use the liquid Lugol's, you can start with one drop and work your way up very slowly in tiny increments. Take the full amount of the companion nutrients starting from day 1. -- moderator -- On 19 Oct 2011 at 15:40, anon wrote: > Hi Faye, > I am not an expert but I would say that you should start on iodine > as soon as possible. Guest guest
Hi Faye,I'm hypeRthyroid. I started right out at 50mg with all the companion nutrients and I was fine. I did have a thyroid storm in the 80's so I was a little apprehensive too, but I have had no problem whatsoever. I was having problems with rapid heartbeat and that completely stopped when I started iodine. I feel great now with the exception of weight gain which I can't seem to control.I had gained some weight before starting iodone, in fact the weird thing is that most of my symptoms were hypo T. I also quit smoking a few months before starting iodine.I'm not sure how nursing is affected by iodine but I don't think you need to worry about a thyroid crisis/storm.iodine From: faye.cheadle@...Date: Tue, 18 Oct 2011 19:21:14 +0000Subject: Re: Introduction and Questions Hi Kathleen, Yes, I was thinking that she was incorrect.
