I was planning on starting BFL on Sept 8, but decided to wait a couple of weeks, just to get used to the eating and the exercises. Anyhoo, I met with a trainer on Aug 22 and she took measurements and my weight. Well, today I had my measurements and weight taken again. I have lost inches!!! Guest guest
I have been on LDN since last Monday, specifically for my Relapsing Polychondritis. It’s really too early to tell if it’s helping, but so far I haven’t had any flares. Previously I was on Methotrexate (both oral and injection), neither worked. I was then put on a course of Imuran which I had to stop due to the side effects. Due to the fact that my doc was experimenting with me (RP is quite rare), I asked him to prescribe LDN to see if it would work. He did and I had Skips fill the prescription for me. I have been off Imuran for approximately 6 weeks and I haven’t had a flare since. Usually I come off the Prednisone then within 2 weeks I’ll have another flare so the fact that I have gone for 6 weeks without a flare is a very good thing. Like I said, I can’t say that LDN is definitely helping yet or not, but so far so good. One other thing I noticed today is that whenever I shower (every day) when I rinse my hair I end up standing in a puddle of water as the amount of hair that falls out plugs up the drain. This morning, for the very first time, there was no puddle. When I got out of the shower I looked for stray strands and there wasn’t any. I’m delighted about this. I am pretty sure that the LDN is helping with my hair loss. Donna
Guest guest
you might want to check if you do not have hashimoto,as thyroid problems can cause hair loss. > > I have been on LDN since last Monday, specifically for my Relapsing > Polychondritis. Guest guest
Candida yeast can cause hair loss so you might want to get your yeast load tested. ========== > > I have been on LDN since last Monday, specifically for my Relapsing > Polychondritis. Guest guest
I had to reduce my thyroid medication since starting LDN. I don't understand all I know about LDN, but my thought is that if my immune system is working better, the thyroid med is being absorbed better?  44 years thyroidless On Tue, Jun 30, 2009 at 2:47 AM, zahavi <zahavi100@...> wrote: then your hashimoto get under control.you might want to check your blood to see that you will not become hyper.some people could lower their thyroid nedication
Guest guest
Hi Donna I also take 6mp (same as immuran- was on immuran first) and it has caused hair loss so I look forward to starting ldn- as I am sure once the drug is out of my system my hair loss will stop as well. Good to hear!
Guest guest
What does to "work" mean. I don't believe that there should be any expectations of symptomatic improvement. Only 'hope' I have for LDN is that my MS will not get worse (and so far, so good). I really think that should be empasized here. No false hopes, no false expectations but I have been exacerbation free for five years! (and for well under $1/day). Hope everyone has as good an experience.
