Guest guest
I have a son who has been bitten many times over the years, never tested for Lyme. He has now developed a huge inflamed Lymph node under his arm. Size of a small plum, is also having a very low temp. 95.5. Has had a few other things that I have wondered about but nothing serious. I was wondering if any one has had swollen glands has a symptom with out much else? I am just a bit Lyme paranoid. Thanks, Meg

Guest guest
Dear Meg. I don't think you can say that Lyme presents the same in anybody. Every lymph node in my body became swollen (I didn't even know they ran down the inner thighs!) in 1997, at the time my Lyme serology () was positive. It was negative the previous year. After my diagnosis and extensive education on my part, I realized I had been having Lyme symptoms since 1991. I would advise you to bring your son to a LLMD. Good Luck, Eileen in NJ
Guest guest
meg..... low body temp. is indeed a sign of lyme.....we did an unsceintific study both in this group and my support group......the majority of us suffer from temp that is below normal.....my normal range now is 96,.....the feeling is that because the sprios do can not stand high temps they attack the thyroid.....(wilson syndrome) and lower the bodies temp to a more comfortable range for them,....( i am so technical huh)....so low bdy temp could make me lean towrds that ur son does have lyme.....have u gone thru the complete symptom list????? it can be found on www.lymealliance.org Reid
Guest guest
Meg, You aren't paranoid, we all have swollen lymph nodes, its definitely a symptom of Lyme. I think the toxins build up too much for the lymph system to get rid of them. Of course, it could also be something else, but I would definitely recommend getting your son to an LLMD and get him tested. Guest guest
Hi there, I've been Dx'd with Lyme since 1990 and I always test positive, then I was dx'd in 1998 with Erlichia and Babs... I've been on alot of different antibiotics over the years including IV but nothing ever seem to do the trick.. I haven't been treated since moving to SC from NJ last summer because health care here is worse than in Africa so I've been doing the best i can each day with just a multi vitamin and doing alot of praying...
