May I ask why if your area is so tick laden you dont make the kitties stay in.

they really dont suffer, and get used to it.

Its harder to train the older cats who may be used to going outside; and there

is the litterbox issues but the new auto ones work great- my daughter uses one

at school in AZ.

Its just that I cant help but wonder why take the risk..the moving ones will

hitch a ride on him/her and bring them into your yard/house risking your own

bite.

Thats just one reason my cats never are allowed outside. The other major one is

so as to not inflict them on my or others' gardens and kiddy sand boxes. ( and I

do not declaw them--but do keep nails trimmed)
