Guest guest
Barb, Thank you for the way you described this catch-22. The doctors are stuck. We have to change the " standard norm " as you put it. I don't know how to do that exactly. But this is what needs to be done. And what you said about Natole and his patients, I have seen happen to other LLMDs. Or a patient goes to a new doctor and the new doc says, " That guy is a quack. You're OBVIOUSLY cured of Lyme and must have another problem " . The patient, not knowing better, believes the new doc and complains about the old. That's why I caution about assumptions with Burrascano's case. How do we go about changing the standard norm? AIDS drugs and treatments have changed the standard norm numerous times without legislation. How do we do the same? From your viewpoint, when does a doctor change his treatment practices? There has to be a better way than through our legislators. Isn't there? What do you think?
