It was great seeing you at the symposium.. You look pretty young for a

grandmother I was sorry to hear about the deaths of the marines during a

flight training. That must be so hard on you, knowing them all. My

stepsister's husband was killed in a Navy practice run over the Persian Gulf

last December. He was a pilot and for some unknown reason, his jet crashed at

departure from the carrier.

I was worried about you.. You had 104 degrees the day before..I am glad you

arrived home safely and hope you will rest a lot after babysitting your

grandchildren today.

thanks, I'm handling the crash okay -I always worried about the V-22 and

always dreaded a day like this. I use to take cover every time the Osprey

was in the sky. It has a bad reputation and working on the project allowed

me to see all the problems. Its a fascinating aircraft and we have so many

brave people testing it. All those marines new it was a test program and

knew this was a possibility, it was their life. But I feel more for their

families and friends. They are in a better place now, so I don't worry about

them. But it is still such a tragedy. So sorry to hear about your step

sister's tragedy with losing her husband. Ant always wanted to be a test

pilot, but due to bad eyesight he couldn't, so he did the next best thing

and became an Aerospace engineer. I could never deal with him being a pilot

so I told him it was his karma and fate - because he is my soul mate and I

couldn't deal with the stress of being married to a test pilot.

It was wonderful talking to you. Sorry I only remember how to sign hi. I'll

work on my sign language for the next time, but you might have to slow down

for me, you talk very fast with your hands and I talk very fast orally. But

we did okay. I was amazed at how well you did. Hope you enjoyed it. I was so

happy to meet you in person. I had a fever on Saturday too, but the adrenal

helped me to hang in there. And I felt pretty good. No fevers today - so

surprised about that! Just pain, but I'll get through that with time and

rest. Hope you too get lots of rest, seems like mental stress is worse on

the body than physical, even if its good mental stress.

P.S. I started out young having children and so did my daughter

unfortunately, but there are some advantages to that. So I am too young to

be a grandmother, but still proud of them and how my daughter has grown up

so fast and is taking care of her life so independently.
