Guest guest
I was soooo sorry to hear your story about your Dr. visit......but I am not surprised. I think everyone is going to hear this type of stuff a lot more until the Dr.s fight this out in their own forum. The ones who know lyme are scared stiff.....and who can blame them. And the ones that don't (like my PCP) will just keep their head buried in the sand. My LLMD made a good point yesterday......he said in regards to the Dr. Orens situation....... " revoking licenses and street rally's are no place to be settling this debate " ......it is up to the Dr.s to get this resolved. He was not being critical of patients and the rally etc......just disgusted that it has come to this. And I think he is right......that is why I always ask physicians to start asking their collegues and at conferences etc. to bring this out in the open and not take what they are spoon fed at face value. Maybe somehow at the protest *you* meaning the ones that are there, can ask that MD's start asking for " all the information " they are entitled to. Wish I could be there......will be waiting to hear all. Finally.....and I know it is too late for you , :-( but do you really have to have PICC line removed if there is hope that you can get too see someone in the next couple of months. Can't you just keep it flushed for a while and not pull it too hastily???? Or is getting the supplies to flush an issue?
