Hi Vicki,

Are you sure you did not hear it from me?....LOL! That's OK even if he was trying to make me feel better, I know I am sick and that's enough, I don't have to prove it to anyone except maybe insurers and Social Security.

Hugs,

Marta

Marta, Actually I've read and heard the same thing, about people testing negative being the most sick. So I don't think your doctor was just trying to make you feel better. Vicki, Md

That was me Rose,

Actually I said my doctor told me that those who tested negative on serology tests were sometimes the sickest with LD. Maybe he was trying to make me feel better.

I also posted that times when i felt worst the bllod testing would come back

better than when i was feeling good my titres were higher....go

figure.....tht is why i no longer trust any testing that is now available for

lyme.....like marta said even ssd does not put much weight in lab test's for

lyme.......just carefull documentation....on the orens front....the NY daily

news has been doing a expose on NY doctors.....some of the things they have

done pale in comparison to doc. oren poor record keeping.....

and the OPMC has basically looked the other way.....some one must have really

been pushing somewhere for orens to lose his license.......i quess we( the

lyme community ) have some people shaking in their boots......the fight has

just begun.....like a rolling stone we are gathering speed.......

Marta,

I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere, some article about Lyme, maybe in the Complexities of Lyme, or the Controversy story (or maybe one of the Lyme books I have). I can't remember, but I've seen it and heard it more than once. Vicki, Md

Reid,

I have noticed that too! Whenever I feel my best, which mind you doesn't

always mean good, my test come back abnormal. But when I really feel my

worse they turn out normal, what's the deal? I remember last year I had what

felt like strep throat and lymph nodes exploding, the only abnormality was

my always low white blood count. I thought for sure my white blood count

would be high, strep test was negative too. But my doc says a low WBC can

mean an viral infection, rather than a bacterial one. Go figure! Vicki,

none of us have seen the actual transcipt from the Oren's case, only the

decisions....I am wondering why Ira has not posted the transcript of that

trial. I think somebody should read the damn thing. Anyone feel like chipping

in to buy a copy...may cost a few hundred bucks......wonder if there is

something a tad rotten in Denmark as they say.....

I think we better stick to issues and not to just one doctor...you know what

I mean Reid....support treatment of long-term lyme and will affect positively

all the good docs favorably.

I for one made sure my OPMC signs did not specifically name Dr. Oren's as we

have to focus on the overall issue.....b

Hi Reid,

Ain't it the truth, at doctor appts. when my LLMD reviews the prior

month's blood work, it is always perfect, I could be poster girl for the

picture of good health, if serology was the only criteria, actually I

exaggerate a bit, the white blood count is always elevated, but that's

practically it! I remember going for blood draw one time, had swollen Lymph

node on the back of my neck the size of an egg and had lab tech feel it

even, plus various lumps and bumps on my scalp, and was feeling awful. Still

all tests were negative. I have to believe that serology is unreliable or

I would start to doubt my sanity even more so than I do already.
