Guest guest
I'm new to Lyme - only having it about 5 months and I have noticed that if I am not on anti-biotics I seem to develop a horrendous depression - crying jags that don't make sense & nearly suicidal. I have never, never been anything even remotely like this in my life - I'm 35 years old. The strange thing is if I start taking anti-biotics these negative emotions disappear almost immediatly - within 2 days of restarting anti-biotics AND I notice that I can think a lot clearer and I feellike my " old self " again. Is this normal? This is one of the strangest things I have ever been through in my life and I don't understand how this illness can control my emotions to this degree and then how an antibiotic can cause a complete reversal so quickly. Does all of this fall into " normal " Lyme experiences? It has been 5 months since I contracted Lyme - will this mean antibiotics for life to maintain a normal mental state???
