Guest guest
Hi, Im , 45 single mom, have an 8 yr old daughter. I have been chronically ill for over 15 years, dx with Fibro about 10 ago, but I always felt that it was something more. I had half my thyroid removed due to a questionable lesion, a year ago, and take bovine thyroid for that. " thats an entirely long drawn out topic in itself " for another time. My main problems (besides the pain and fatigue) are mood swings, confusion, serious visual problems that my doctor doesnt even believe, hearing problems, (mainly processing the incoming) overall brain fog, horrible depression and generalized AND social anxiety. I also have sporatic facial numbness, tingling of the limbs, bone pain, knee joints pain,. I take tramadol two a day, which enables me to function. I'm broke, unemployed, trying to file bankruptcy so i can keepmy house, (im dreaming there) and I have lost all my friends, my fmaily members all think Im just crazy and lazy, and I really have no one to turn to. I live in central Illinois, and I found a specialist online, Dr. Christ in Springfield, Mo. that Im going to try to get an appt with. I was tested years ago, but I know that regular testing is not reliable for a tru dx. I need HELP and Support. Ive read a bunch about rife and the salt/C protocols but I really dont know where to start. I have a child to raise and i can barely afford to feed us right now. This illness has caused me to lose everything. Any info/words of encouragement would be appreciated. I posted this same message on a couple other lyme groups, so this is my 3rd group. I am trying to compile as much info as I can before I decide if I want to try to pay for an expensive Doctor. Its terrible confusing to try to process all these options. Theres the salt/c--the bruhner protocol-the rifing-antibiotics on and on. What scares me the most i think, is the herxing thats going to happen regardless of what I do. I live alone with my 8 yr old child, and It just scares me having to go through all this alone. Another question is, are there people that have done all these things without an actual positive blood test of some kind. Ok thats a stupid question, but, i keep thinking, im 99% sure i have lyme, but what if its not, does it really matter? I have gotten to the point that i dont trust doctors, or anybody else unless they are sick too. I mean 15 years of playing ring around the rosie with doctors that are absolutely uneducated, and family that are absolutely uncaring. Sorry, Im just overwhelmed. I do know that us sickies are alot more educated on this subject than most doctors, so I am very open minded and welcome any and all advice that i can get from you nice people. thanks for listening.
