HUmm....I thought I was bit and stung by a wasp....I question a little now....could any of you tell me what you think it is...I have a big spot just above the back of my knee that is probably the size of the roundness of the apple it is very red with what looks like a bite mark in the middle which started about four days ago...and then yesterday I have two more spots near by...they look like the same thing with a bite mark in the middle...the spots are hot and dry, swollen. I think I will take a picture of it...cause I can't get to the doctor right away...One minute I was walking and then I felt a burning sensation...another tick? A spider bite? hum I wander...let me know what you think. I also have drawn pen marks around the red the smaller spots that started the red and swelling have gone down...the big one is not quite as red but it is still hot and the redness has spread a little.....Sigh...one thing on top of another...lol....anyway thanks all ahead of time....

Hi Cyntha,

Sure sounds like it could be a tick bite to me. Are you on any abx at

all? If not, please ask your doctor for a few months worth of doxy to take

twice daily; This may help. I sure hope it is some other bite, take those

pictures anyway, call your doctor and ask him to call in the script for you.

You can be re-infected very easily. My tick in my scalp was not painful

until the third or fourth day it fed, then the rash was hot to touch, and I

had numerous lumps and bumps on my head, lymph nodes I guess.

Hugs & prayers going to you,

Marta

Dear Marta:

Whether the bite was from a tick or not, is essentially irrelevant. There

are numerous peer-reviewed articles (starting in the 1970's, look at the Red

ID cookcook) supporting that Lyme can be transmitted by FLIES, FLEAS, MITES,

MOSQUITOES and ticks. It is fortunate that Lyme can so easily attributed to

the tick, but other blood-sucking vectors could explain the lack of the

Bull's Eye Rash (E.M.) IMHO, the government is in a denial about the

realities of Lyme Disease, with information suppression being a way to keep

the flood gates closed and mass panic under control.

Sincerely,

Annie

Annie,

I am pretty sure I got reinfected by a tick bite - had a bulls eye rash from

it, but had Lyme symptoms years before. I was diagnosed with CFID then and

anemia. Do you know where I can find any of these articles. I keep telling

my doctor about the fly bite, but he doesn't believe it. I've been trying to

find articles to show him.Any help is appreciated. Thanks Vicki, Md

Hi Annie,

Can you share with us the links to these reports about different vectors

carrying spirochettes? I used to have several but lost them when AOL software

became defective.

thanks,

elizabeth

Dear :

I already listed a well known reference on other bloodsucking vectors that

can transfer Lime. I never had any Links, maybe something exists on Art

Doherty's " Lots of Links on Lyme " website. Would anyone else you knew have

access to the links you lost when the AOL software became defective. I will

contact my LLD and pursue getting more references. I think that Lyme Disease

is lucky to have a known causation, but the " tick " acts as a limitation. If

the public knew the truth, the apathy would cease to exist. Once the reality

can hit closer to home, a different tune is sung.

Take care,

Annie
