Guest guest
I want to remind everyone that there are several services that lump all, or many, instant messaging services into one program. For instance, Microsoft's Messenger Service allows people with Hotmail (Microsoft's email) accounts AND AOL's Instant Messenger (IM) accounts to use this program. Instead of having Messenger AND IM, you only need to add IM's addresses to your Messenger program. Also www.bantu.com allows ICQ members, members, and Messenger members all to use the Bantu instant messaging service. Soon all instant messengers will be compatible with each other. In the meantime, it's usually better to choose only one or two programs instead of having five or six programs all simultaneously running on your computer. It doesn't hurt anything, though it will slow down your bandwidth a bit. Personally I find it annoying to try to keep track of many different programs. Just an idea.
