Yes Rocephin can be given via a regular IV. I discussed it all with my

doc before having my line put in and the main reason for having a

midline,picc,or port inserted is because we get abx long term and it is

better to have a line that is going to last that long instead of having

to have IVs restarted once a week or having hep-locs changed.
