Hi Reid,

I wish there was a way to please all the people all the time....but of

course, it is impossible. I recall the Lyme-aid offtopic list was created

back in August to keep arguing off the list. What a nightmare that was!

Fortunately that problem went away, but now the list can be useful for those

occasional posts about other diseases, important causes ( i.e.: animal

abuse) or my favorite....humor. Robynn usually contacts people who

unsubscribe from our list, I don't know for sure, but I suspect that they

joined up for Lyme information and support, and not fun stuff and when other

irrelevant information is posted they get annoyed and leave.

I admit I could be a more vigilant moderator, I belonged to a SSDI list

awhile back, and that moderator was on the ball, catching posting problems

and while I hate to use this term I can't think of another word for it due

to my Lyme brain....STEERING the list back to the issues, when

conversational mail took place. I want this list to be enjoyable,

supportive and informational for everyone who subscribes. I like the fact

that we feel like extended family too, and I don't want to alienate any of

you. I don't know how to please all of you, so the best I can say is an

occasional slip up won't kill any of us, but most of the off topic stuff

should be on the other list.

Hugs to all,

Marta< NJ
