From: Hennessy <hennesm@...> Date: Sun, 21 Nov 1999 05:33:06 GMT My name is , and I am 18 years old. I was diagnosed with tertiary Lyme when I was 9, and have been fighting it ever since. As a result of my struggle with Lyme Disease, I created a web site for students with special needs. This website has relevant information for students suffering from chronic illness (like Lyme Disease), or learning disabilities, or sports injuries. It contains information about how to obtain an elevator key, a pass to leave class early to avoid crowded hallways, ways of obtaining medical schoolbuses, and much more. Any parent of a chronically ill child should visit this site. I used most of the info on the site myself in elementary and high school. The information may not be specific to your school district, but it can at least get you started learning about your children's educational rights. You can reach the site at www.liworks.org/skills, and it is called " Survival Skills for Students with Special Needs. " I hope it helps, and I wish you good health. - town '
