Guest guest Posted July 6, 2001 Report Share Posted July 6, 2001 Hi to all in the group. We were on vacation for four days and just before we left to come home I broke a bone in my ankle. The ER doctor said that a tendon had caught the bone on the inside of my right ankle just right and broke/chipped the bone. The piece was just hanging by the top corner when I got to the hospital. He thought it would heal just fine on it's own, so I get to wear a walking boot for several weeks. What fun to watch me get my balance for the first few hours in this boot! The nurse at the hospital didn't realize drop foot could cause so much problem. I thought I was going to have to have a cane to get around, but am doing okay now without anything. I was curious if any one else has had this happen to their ankle. It makes me wonder if my bone is soft or what could have caused it to chip so easy. Love to hear your thoughts.
