Guest guest
Signe, is the product you say similar to this? http://www1.epinions.com/content_314207997572 so it means you get these ticks that AREN'T attached, right? Don't you pull too many hair with it? My cat this season comes with many that are NOT attached, plus the ones attached. Please, if you use the neem in powder on your cat's fur, can you share your results here? I'm desperately looking for solutions. My daughter loves the cat and I don't allow her to touch him lately because of these unatached ticks (he comes DAILY with new ticks). It's sad for her. Guest guest
Hi Selma, The roller you saw on the website is ok, but not as good as Evercare brand- definitely most effective one to use. The sheets tear off properly, so there is no waste and the stickiness is just right. It does take hairs, but only those that were coming off anyway--a bonus! One of my cats loves it! I've been " rolling " for a few years to get ticks that would otherwise drop off in the house before attaching as well as nabbing ticks before they bite the cats. Use at least 3-4 sheets or until no more ticks show up, then comb fur against the nap which helps bring others out of the fur, then roll again. I can't live without these rollers now. Hope it helps you! Will try neem powder soon--where are you buying it? Guest guest
Signe, I just bought one, but here in Switzerland, and I started using on my cat, he loved it!! So far no unattached ticks caught though... Thanks a lot for the tip. His fur gets beautiful after this! I'm still catching about 10 attached ticks a day on him, but today, almost all were dead (I have to re-check tomorrow). I'm giving only neem in powder for him to eat, not yet on his fur, as I need to buy bulk somewhere. I guess I'll try 1st chinese? I wonder if this neem works like Frontline is supposed to work, killing the ticks after bite? Or could it be still the sulphur homeopathic I'm still giving to him? There were HUGE monsters that were dead... I keep wondering what's killing them... More days of tests, I'll post here what I think is happening. So far, nothing semm to help repelling ticks, but something seems to be killing attached ticks... Guest guest
Hi, Selma, I think I missed some of this thread, but it is great that the ticks are dead when you find them. But I'm wondering- do you think this is assurance that they have not transmitted any organism? ellen > > Signe, I just bought one, but here in Switzerland, and I started > using on my cat, he loved it!! > > So far no unattached ticks caught though... Guest guest
Hi Ellen,\ Nope, unfortunatelly I'm pretty sure neem will not hit all of the pathogens (if any tick born disease....). My cat is immune, I'm pretty sure, he's been infected, reinfected many times so far. He never fell sick. Everybody around thinks cats are immune.
