I do that everyday,but, I am not " the healthy doctor " .. I am a sick patient.

Fortunately I do not have to decide as a doctor whether or not I want to

continue fighting for lyme patients who are too sick to fight for themselves

(and fight as much as they can in the poor health that they have). Or whether

or not I would risk my salary,. liscense or practice to save them. I hear

you when you say that they have families to support. I TOO HAVE A FAMILY TO

SUPPORT , AND BILLS TO PAY! and I also hear you when you say that they have

other patients w/out lyme who are ill, and they will suffer.. as you said..

and perhaps that is true, but there are many non lyme doctors(

internists)around for them to see if they do not need iv abx. WE have no

choice and cannot see anyone besides lyme doctors because they are the only

ones that can prescribe iv abx for us as you well know.

And where are we being backed into ??????? We are the ones in poor health .

And NO we cannot support them ,., but no one is supporting me either! and

how much do we have to risk b4 we end up bedridden or totally disabled,

blind...suicidal...etc.

Doctors take an oath to help the sick. PERIOD !!! I feel for their

situations, But I can't help feeling more concerned for my fellow lymies who

are sick and in bed and in desperate need off IV's as I am and are also

backed into a corner right now. With no job, and no income because we are

too sick to work ,, and have NOONE supporting us. ! How much to we have to

risk to be considered UNSELFISH and UNDERSTANDING !!!

I do now, and have understood the doctors position in all of this,I am not

ignorant to all that is goin on here.I am sympathetic to them , even though I

may not sound like it here. But I just cannot understand them not taking the

risk to treat lymies who they know really need treatment now, while they

still have their liscenses and are fighting to be able to keep treating

patients with abx. How can someone go to court and fight in front of a bunch

of doctors that are telling them that what they are doing is wrong and stand

up and defend themselves.. Tell these doctors that what they are doing and

prescribing is totally necessary and then all of a sudden stop doing what

they are preaching? Their liscenses have not been suspended or revoked

yet.They are giving into Dattwhyler and his gurus already .. so to me its as

if their liscenses have already been revoked. I can't get treatment now while

they still do have their liscenses anyway.

And,Although I am sympathetic towards the doctors involved.I wish I

could be as sympathetic as you are. Do you need iv abx right now also ? Just

wondering. Are you in the same situation as I am in .. do you have positive

mri's & spects & high titers and are you sick as a dog right now and

despersately looking for someone who will treat you? I'm curious !! And I am

not being nasty or sarcastic . I am genuinely curious !
