I have been dx by a blood smear. I am taking the herbs in the book but in small

amounts. It does help me to be able to work more hours. From 3 days to 4 days.

My symptoms seem less. I have not had a slide redone yet. My daughter and I both

have babesia and are in different states now. Some doctors that we have been to,

don't believe we could have it. We just are more interested to learn more about

other people's experiences too. We both want to get better. My daughter hasn't

started the herbs for babesia yet.

Has anybody on here tried it for babesia? It seems a short treatment

time, since most other babesia treatments seem to go on for quite a

while when it's chronic. Has anybody been able to examine their blood

for clearance of maltese crosses etc? In googling this herb it says

either the tea or alcohol extract is effective. Sometimes I don't

think malaria meds necessarily apply to babesia, though some do.

Babesia is difficult to diagnose. I never got any positive blood test.

I would suggest muscle test.

I got almost sure I got it after I took a strong antimalarial, called

Riamet. My 4 months of night sweats vanished in one or two days. It

was incredible. Since then, I was sure I had either babesia or

anything that reacted to antimalarials.

Problem is that babesia symptoms are confusing, and the symptoms keep

changing. I think one of the best indicators is temperature change,

in a somewhat 'fixed' pattern (like you get hot flushes once a day,

followed by intense fatigue), or night sweats. I think babesia causes

extreme fatigue and makes you moody. Air hunger is another symptom.

A muscle test indicated babesia even after I had treated it for

months. In the end, it disappeared (until now). Some people will only

get symptoms when they start treating it. It's a tough critter to

kill.

Herbs like artemisinin or artemisia annua are very harsh, specially

if you got many critters. I believe they both kill borrelia too, so

watch out for 'herxes'.

Good luck,

Selma
