Guest guest
, if you don't mind me asking, what are your Lyme symptoms? Because you said you run a mile a day (good for you!) and I'm wondering in what way are you sick? Excuse the question if it is intrusive, or maybe you've said elsewhere what your symptoms are. ellen > > Hi, All, > > I stopped the herbs because my liver had trouble keeping up with both abx and Buhner's protocol, and because there are interactions with some herbs and mepron (and artemisinin scares me). I plan to start back up with the CP as soon as I finish the abx. I'm also doing a reasonable amount of exercise (running a mile a day) and daily heat therapy. There's been a lot of improvement, so I figure I'll see the antibiotics through, then maintain with herbs, heat and exercise. I think I'm getting very close to the day I'll stop abx. I feel really good most of the time. > > Meanwhile, I have started Lucy, my Lymey little horse, on Cat's Claw and Milk Thistle, along with some oral hyaleuronic acid for her joints, some magnesium, selenium, a good multi-vitamin and some extra oils. She appears to be feeling much better. She has more energy, and is happier to go out and work. Her hips and back are less sore. She doesn't ask to stop and rest as often. (She used to have to rest every 20' or so going uphill.) She just looks happier. > > I may slowly add more herbs, or I may just stick with this, since she is doing so well. Guest guest
Hi, Ellen, No intrusion. I'm actually doing really, really well now. These days my only remaining symptoms are tinitis, mild fatigue, chronic bloody nose, a blurry, sparkly area in the center of my vision, and some prickling sensations accompanied by this weird anxious feeling followed by sweats. Sometimes the sweats come with a nasty, but brief, hand and foot pain. And I go through periods of insomnia. Since I am also menopausal, it is hard to tell how much of this is still Lyme, and how much is normal. When I started just over a year ago, I was in terrible pain all the time, sleeping maybe 2 hours a night, stopping at green lights and falling asleep, having trouble finding my way home, unable to remember names, no focus, very limited word recall, much worse tinitis with some aural hallucinations, severe abdominal cramping that sometimes caused me to pass out, hands too painful to work (I'm a massage therapist), shooting pain down my legs and arms, horrible back pain, sometimes unable to take a step. And the anger and mood swings - awful. And dyslexia - words were all jumbled up. I had no attention span - couldn't finish a sentence. Mild incontinence. Heat and exercise intolerance. Depression. Usually had no idea what day it was, or even what year it was. Left the stove on a lot... You know - Lymey. I think I'm on the home stretch. How are you doing? Guest guest
Hi D, What a collection of symptoms, which I would never have associated with Lyme. It certainly sounds like you are much improved! As for me, I'm doing well. Taking only 1 CoQ-10 for fatigue, 2 Vit C twice a day, and 2 magnesium citrate twice a day. I walk almost every day 1 hour! no pain, lots of energy. I'm sleeping fairly well, the melatonin seems to help, and I just started 2-3 5HTP spread through the day, for sleep and for stress-relief. My knee still hurts when I climb stairs, have to climb one leg at a time. I can kneel now which I couldn't do at all. Slowly and carefully, but I can kneel. Sure makes sweeping up the litter kitty has distributed around her box easier! I tried to jog one day, (I was a jogger for over 20 years before Lyme), just a few feet, but since jogging involves my knee, I wasn't able to. Maybe some day. I'm so inspired that you can jog! I read your question on the other list about the sweats - menopause or Lyme- and I've been thinking about it, but I don't know the answer. I had fairly severe sweats during menopause (10 Years ago). The sweats I had with Babesia were *way different*!! Terrible. No question. Sheets soaked, yuck. Now I often go thru what I call temperature change. When I drank Boneset tea it helped. But what I go thru these days is annoying but not so bad, and I don't find them bad enough to go to the effort to make the tea. These current temp. changes are also definitely related to coffee. Since I'm not going to give up coffee - at least not right now - I just live with them. Hope you figure it out (smile). best, ellen , > if you don't mind me asking, what are your Lyme symptoms? > Because you said you run a mile a day (good for you!) and I'm > wondering in what way are you sick? > > Excuse the question if it is intrusive, or maybe you've said elsewhere > what your symptoms are. > > ellen > > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hi, Ellen, It sounds like you're coming along. There's a supplement that helped a *lot* for my joint issues. It's oral hyaluronic acid. The stuff packaged for people is kinda pricey, so I just used the horse stuff - Hyalun. It's exactly the same as the people version, except you use a dropper instead of having nice convenient caplets. I used 5 drops per day with very good results. Lucy is getting it now. http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=b3a23e6a-62a1-4e9b-9700-d54971e2d\ a5f or http://tinyurl.com/y3b2x3 Might be worth a try for that knee. I think it took a couple weeks for me to notice a difference, but it was a big difference. It's funny - since I wrote that message, I keep remembering more and more symptoms that are long gone. The vertigo, dropping things, bumping into things, tripping and falling all the time... Someday I'm gonna read my symptom journal from a year ago. Of course, last night I left the hose running and killed the well. So, my attention span and short term memory seem to still need work. *sigh* D. rasheedaas <rasheedaas@...> wrote: Hi D, What a collection of symptoms, which I would never have associated with Lyme.
